NWN and Nvidia 3d vision
« on: June 01, 2012, 08:36:31 pm »

So I've got this new laptop with a 120hz screen and Nvidia 3d vision, does anybody know if it's possible to play NWN with 3d vision?
I tried a few things, but no luck yet and it would be fun to get to work I bet '<img'>

NWN1 is nine years old,  nVIDIA's 3D is only about three now, maybe only two.  It'll be up to nVIDIA to accommodate to NWN.

I know, that Nvidia is the one that should officially support it, but by the nature of being a 3D it should be able to work regardless. NWN2 isn't even officially supported, but it works like a charm and looks great, but I've always preferred to play NWN1 myself. Now I've gotten the 3d vision thus far that it activates itself in the main menu by using a customized opengl32.dll, but this results in a black screen with only the mouse cursor visible, so not playable yet...

I don't think Nvidia 3D Vision is supposed to work with DirectX 8 games. If I'm not mistaken NWN uses DX8 while the sequel runs on DX9.
