Yes, the idea is that +15 items are dropped by 71-75 mobs (CR not level but should be simiar) and +16 from 76-80. Then If the item is targeted to an specific race or alingment it gets aa 2d2 (from 2 to 4) increase, meaning you can have +20 items.
One of the things I want to do is that yeah, you can share items from your powerful toon into your newbie and start with a +20 item if that's what you want I don't want to forbid you but I prefer to always start and see my gear growing.
The subraces system is what I think will be the best because it will give you the real feeling of progression, the fact of unlocking subraces is what I think will make it pretty different than the rest of the systems.
I had the system already done but lost the scripts, but is easy enough to be done in a couple of nights and have it in a way that if I want to add a new subrace, is less than 10 mins.
The previous system had, as specified, unlocked races and acquired races. An unlocked race can be a Goblin as you unlock that race to use in your game account with as many chars as you want. An acquired race was usable only for the character that got the item, unless that character had already a subrace, in which case you could trade it. Those acquired are subraces like werewolf, vampire and more powerful races that won't be unlocked account-wide.
As for the unlocked ones, for example, I did several goblins, like normal or plain goblin (with just a few stats modifications), goblin archer, goblin shaman, goblin chieftain, artic goblin ... and each of them had different drop rates but they could only drop from goblin areas for example.

Also is important to keep in mind that the max level is 80 and you have 3 classes. Is pretty easy to, whatever classes you use, to always add a spell caster to the roster.
Items with immunities will always exist. The random system will ad a maximum of 1 immunity to each item. Shifters will get more immunities as well as some classes or subclasses.
And will open the forum soon to discuss everything but if we see that we are making any class obsolete, will try to boost that one specifically. Imagine nobody plays a specific class due to items (not because the class is basically crap to start with) we will try to boost it. How? we'll see when that happens.
Also, apart from subraces as they are kind of a completionist/collecting system, we would like to add more stuff like that.
Permahaste will be there. Is an action server and is a quality of life property that I want for everyone (once they find the item of course).

Leveling won't be hard. I don't want to ve level 80 in a day, but I want to see progression. You will easily get level 10 on the first day if you know where to go (or even in just a couple of hours) and even faster with help from items or higher level characters.
Any question feel free to ask! '>
