World of Avlis Persistent World is looking for new players! Founded in 2002 it's one of NWN longest running persistent worlds and boasting 8 linked servers featuring bustling human metropolis', elven tree cities and a expansive and dangerous Underdark and more!
Avlis is a dedicated Roleplay server so bring your most interesting character concepts and share it with other like-minded roleplayers. Avlis is for mature players players and fosters a friendly and safe RP environment.
Avlis features a completely unique fantasy world where the struggle between Good, Evil, and the Balance is played out daily among the numerous player run guilds, holy orders, and magical covens. Each alignment step is represented by a major deity with their own Paladin-like Holy Warrior prestige classes.
The World of Avlis has many fleshed out and reworked systems improving on the NWN template:
Custom Races: Chose from all the core races and new ones like the Ghost elf, Wemic, Changeling, Half Ogre, Half Nymph, and many more.
Unique Crafting System: Choose to level your character in any number of Avlis' crafting trades like Blacksmithing, Weapon Crafting, Carpentry, Herbalism, Alchemy, Enchanting, Jewelcrafting, Armorcraft, Talioring, and more. Avlis has thousands of working recipes to craft unique and powerful items for your characters use.
Custom Player Housing and Persistent Storage: Avlis supports full customized player housing and NPC run, player owned Persistent Merchants who can sell the fruits of your adventuring and crafting.
Custom Spell "Hooking" and Magic System: Avlis has made numerous improvements to the NWN magic system, adding new spells straight from 3.5 D@D, metamagic rods, staves, and wands, fixes for magical PrCs like the Palemaster, removing Bioware True Sight to allow our roguish friends to do what they do best, and implementing the Psionicist Class from the old Complete Psionic's Handbook.
Large and Dedicated DM staff: Our crack staff of DMs, Admins, Builder's and coders happily donates their time to make Avlis an interesting place to play. DM run adventures and events keeps the narrative of the world moving and is reflected in the efforts of our builders changing the landscape of the world to reflect Player's actions.
Plenty of "Lowbie" quests to keep new characters and players involved and advancing! With 3 "starting" cities there is plenty to do for new characters as they build their reputations and characters in the world. "Fed Ex" deliveries, trivia questions, lowbie adventuring areas, collector quests, and crafting keep low level characters exploring and interacting in the world. A helping hand is just an in game tell away, our friendly player base is always looking to give new players any help they might need.
