Just so you know, if you spend hours accumulating gold and XP and you are right near your next level... There is a Epic Fire Giant house inside of GDI, don't go in there if you want to keep what you have earned. '>

 

I am at lvl 11 with really bad gear, what could I be doing to find some gold, I cant really do much without better gear at this point. You guys know of any areas? Been beating gobbys up for a few days and they were a huge help. Thanks!

So it's still hard at level 11 because you've been doing mostly goblins to level quickly.  I'd suggest go to area's north of GDI and kill the Gargoyles for their loot in the top North west of that map area.  The Ants southwest of GDI have OK stuff, but non of this will be awesome gear, it'll be stuff you need to collect and sell to buy better gear and it will take a few trips.  If you can get enough gold together to buy a blackflame cloak or Bone ring, heading down the abandoned mine east of GDI can be a reasonable source of gold as above.

Is the server still down guys? I put it back up 7/7/15, but I haven't seen anybody. Makes me think you aren't seeing the game. I always see it unfortunately... but it should be reset, and the current ip address is listed.

It used to be down for hours and days at a time when DM Death ran it, it was as painful then and it is now '> Its so deflating to not have my drug! =)

OK list of issues I've spotted so far - now please bear in mind this isn't complaining, just pointing out stuff that currently doesn't work.

 

Skill:

Jump : super useful for getting yourself out of being trapped in terrain or getting to the underdark - some characters don't seem to get to use the skill. i.e. can't select it from the radials

 

Classes:

Bowman - Sniper feat - adds dex bonus onto damage - works briefly after server reset.

 

Spells: (this maybe by design rather than by error)

Modenkainens Mansion - summons the door but can't use the door to get to the resting room.

Summon monster above VI - elementals do not last a day or 1 hour per level as per spell description more like 1 round a level

Teleport all types - do not work

Greater sanctuary does not work - appears to be disabled - maybe down to people in the past abusing the spell

 

Areas'

Bottom layer of ice caves north of Tyrluk - now get stuck in transition from level 2 to 3 - character can't be logged in 

Crypt in fields of the dead outside Suzail (mages crypt) - exit does not work - leaves you trapped till server reset

First I want to say... Thank You! I am running through areas I haven't been in for over 12 years and I can only tell you what it means to me that I am able to do this again. This was my first server I ever played on and as you know that holds special meaning to you. I just lucked upon it back in the old days, I thought it had a funny name '> Little did I know what this server would mean to me and how it would help keep me off drugs and alcohol as well as out of trouble. I just cant believe some of these old areas I havent seen in so long. Yes its missing all the old players but I know if they knew about it, they would come back. So thank you for putting this up, thank you very much.

 

I have an AA but what I really want to make is my Cleric build but I have a few questions first if I may.

Is haste a spell only or is there epic gear that also gives it? There are boots of speed or Graceblood crossbows anymore, no more armor of fleetness or any perma haste items, is that right?

Also, I will need to choose a weapon and I want to pick one that I have a decent chance of finding a +6. Is +6 pretty much the highest and do they come in scimitar or rapier? I seem to remember longsword being the easiest one to find and that was around the balor area.

 

Lastly, when the store is full and you try to sell, it lags really bad. Usually really good after reset but after a few days it lags. I can totally deal with it, just reporting what I find.

 

Let me know if  need donations to run this thing or to upgrade it, I can defintely donate money. We are 12 years clean and sober and making better money now =) Yeah I dont spend it on dope anymore! Thank you very much, Tommy

Hello everyone, I apologize for the delay on the server. I found a permanent home for the server now at address 71.236.239.113. There is no 5121 necessary to log in. 

 

You should not have any more issues (knock on wood) with the server randomly changing on you. 

 

I had 2 people who were supposed to post the forum that the server would be down this week, alas, I see that this did not happen, my apologies.

Ok, to answer these questions:

 

Teleport stopped working with the newest update. I spent a few days attempting to fix it. I could not. 

M Mansion and greater sanctuary also do not work with the newest update, as well. 

Later in August, I will look into ways to fix these 3 issues. 

 

I can look into the suzail and ice planes issue. I plan on making a different portal to the ice plane, as well. 

 

All summon spells above level 6 were purposefully changed by DM Death to balance the game. This is not a glitch.
