The birth of a new server, “The Dragons Neck”, circa 2013:

A few years ago a close friends and I began working on the creation of a server. We quickly learned that it was a very time consuming and difficult task to complete! To help us move at a faster pace we enlisted the aid of several other talented individuals and as a result our production sky rocketed. We worked for many months creating area after area however we later lost all of our staffing and were once again reduced to two… We began to work at a snail’s pace and at times lost hope that we would ever be able to get our server to a point where we could submit it to the public. Later game spy went down and we painfully decided that perhaps it’s time to throw in the towel…

But with great excitement I’m here to tell you that we did not quit! And though we are not finished adding content, we feel we have reached a level where we can now allow others to experience this beautifully
built server, our gift to you.

A unique fresh style of server hosting:

TDN is an amazingly detailed world with over 700 stunning areas to explore riddled with cities, towns, and dungeons. Not only do we offer a visual experience a cut above the rest but we do things a bit differently
here at TDN. If you wish to have your character make a lasting effect on the server please come by our world and be ready for an experience unlike any other.

The following information is a general basis for TDN:

---Server Information---

Server Type: Heavy RP/P.E.W (Persistently Evolving World)
Leveling Pace: Slow, 1-20; RP XP will be higher than dungeoning XP.
Magic Level: Low
Setting: Forgotten Realms
Hak Paks: CEP, also includes several compilation .haks; found at the website below.
Website: www.nwntdn.com
Direct connect info: 173.51.59.49

Mission: The Dragon's Neck expects to ignite an emotional attachment with our playerbase. Utilizing an artistically built World, players will come to thrive in a portion of the Realms that is not often featured in campaigns.

We consider ourselves a "P.E.W" on the basis that any player should one day have an effect on the World. Given that the desires fit in with the setting, there are no other barriers to the possibilities in this world. Please read out forum information to learn more about The Dragon's Neck.

looks really amazing, wish you the best of luck. unfortunately I'd be able to join on weekends only - in this case, your system is not very interesting to me.

Excellent content choice and area composition, they feel very volumetric and immersive. I'll have to check it out when I have the time, otherwise best of luck!

@Racshasa - We host the server for open RP on weekends as well at this point '<img'> Sadly, just to be honest, there won't be too much DM-guided events going on during the weekends.

@Borrie - Thanks! We've definitely spent a LOT of time perfecting the look and feel of our PW and hope everyone enjoys that level of immersion.

Our 3rd RP session, or part of our campaign, will continue on Tuesday at 12pm (noon) PST.

The server content is changing according to player wants and needs. There are at least four+ DM's that pop on during the days, nights and weekends.
There are more areas than you can explore in a month, more and more players on line every day.
The area tiles are lush and fully fleshed out. Monster scaling is challenging and appropriate for parties and the occasional solo artist.
RPing is primary and rewarded accordingly with xp. There are DM sponsored quests with nice rewards for participation.
The player base is knowledgeable and willing to teach and learn. Plenty of dungeons and areas for serious exploring.
I understand there is more to come as far as content; such as spells. feats and skills which have already been customized.

Areas are added and updated daily.

Character content is persistent. Housing available. Many unique and custom items and monsters.

The world is set on the peninsula known as The Dragon's Head, connected by The Dragon's Neck that leads into the Wealdath (Tethyr) Forest. Faerun lore and history with plenty of materials to support the rich history of the area.

The haks and info are on the TDN forums.   http://www.nwntdn.com/forum/

I recommend stopping in and checking it out. There are still some good PW's out there but this is certainly one that is worth downloading the Haks and playing.

See ya IG
