Multiplayer shared XP?
« on: October 17, 2012, 02:11:31 am »

I'm playing the standard campaign of NVN with two of my friends and it seems that only the member who talks with the questgiver (e.g. the old man that gives the lvl-up tutorial) gets all the experience instead of every member getting at least a share.

Is this intended and if so, how can I change this?

I don't think the OC was intended for multiplayer, but I know all party members get xp in SoU and HoTU as we just had a lan party run thru them last week.

I heard there was a workaround for the original campaign to make it work in multiplayer. Does anyone know about that?

My wife and I have played through the OC together across a LAN several times, and  as I recall, for most of the quests all that is required for everyone in the party to get quest XP and gold is for everyone in the party to speak with the quest giver. For the few quests that didn't work that way, we just used the console to give the xp and gold to whichever PC didn't get any.

Unfortunately there is no work around. You will have to open up the mod and change the scripts pertaining to those quest to give the XP the way you want it too. Not sure if it is worth doing.
