Allow me to tell you a brief story. In the ancient past, my brother and I ran a custom Neverwinter Nights campaign. Just the two of us. I DM'd, he played. The campaign ended up going on for about six months, and we had a lot of fun.
Then we moved on. Played other games. But it turns out we both look back with some fondness on that old campaign, and wonder what it would be like with more of us, exploring something epic through this old game that we love, and (given your presence here) you must love as well.
So we're looking for players. The group has four members, including myself, and we need more. We're looking for players who meet one simple criterion: Fun for us to be around.
That has a few implications:
For us, roleplaying isn't an element of the game, it
is the game. If you don't like roleplaying, you won't have fun in this setting. Monster experience will be set to minimums (or maybe even disabled in favour of DM award). Alignment will be played to, with appropriate penalties. Generally speaking, game rules are for me to worry about, not the players, and where there's a disagreement between what NWN/D&D rules state and how we're playing... we're not really interested in being informed.
With that being said, we're not *serious* roleplayers. Over the top characters are awesome. Having fun is paramount. Breaking the fourth wall is fine if it's funny. Just don't expect us to be playing a game of
numbers. We're not.
Our game times are likely to be Friday and Saturday evenings GMT. If you're intelligent enough to work out what time that is for you, and this sounds like something that would interest you, leave a message! Hopefully
someone out there still wants something like this.
