Hey everyone, some of you old timers might remember the former local vault module, Village of Creation, I know it was home to many of us over the years. In any case, SniperReady and I have been reworking VoC as a server vault/persistent world for NWN 2. We've made great progress and an early build/alpha stage module will be coming up in a few days so we can test the capabilities of our hosting connection. Anyone willing to help us test it out should check out our forum at the link at the bottom of this post.
That said, we have also discussed the idea of putting up a server on NWN 1 with the old VoC module as it was intended to be all those years ago when it was started. However, before we commit to hosting another module in addition to the NWN 2 module we are working on I wanted to ask the community a couple of questions:
- What is the state of NWN 1 these days? Are populations high?
- Is there any interest in a local vault ROLEPLAY server? Last I had checked into the first game there wasn't a single populated local vault server, has this changed?
- Is there still an active modding community? Anyone know the status of CEP these days? is it still in active development?
