Doesnt look like xsplit will work with NWN but xfire will at least broadcast fullscreen. Any tips to improve the quality further with xsplit or game settings please let me know. But maybe some of the community might want to see how powerful and fun our server can be.

               These are interesting videos Skipp, thanks for posting them. As you know I don’t generally DM stalk players (unless it is a DM event), so it was fun for me to see some of your play style. I as a player always seem to learn some things from other good players.

I would just like to point out to anyone else checking these out Skipp is an exception, rather than the norm of players on Av3. He has played Aventia for over 9 years, and so is very powerful, and well versed. So I don’t want people to think they are going to walk into Av3 and get a super powerful level 500+ character right away, it takes some significant work.

That being said however, when Av2 shut down there was one 400 level player, and handful of lvl 300+. In the last year and an half or so that I have been hosting Av3, six or seven different people have reached 500+, 2 of which had never played on Av1 or Av2, and numerous of others have reached 400+, 300+, and 200+. So, my point is, getting to this level of the module is possible for new players, but it’s not easy, and takes some significant effort.

Aventia was the first ever module in NWN1 with a post 40 system. After over 10 years of development later, and two previous generations, it is what you might expect from such an evolution; the synthesis of work from many people in the community over many years (more than 100 people have worked on the mod over the years, and community contributions are one of the hallmarks of it.)

It’s a mod that is near and dear to my heart. It has provided me with so much fun as a player over the last 10 years (and frustrations at times as the lead developer over the last year and a half or so, until recently,) I truly think it is special, and I invite anyone interested to check it out.

Not to say any other mods aren’t also special, they are all works of un-recognized art IMO. But I think Aventia 3 is as well, and I would encourage you all, who are interested in action PWs (no it is not RP, although RP is allowed, and no it is not story, although there are some story based quests, and no it is not PVP, although we have PVP arenas (and occasional DM events) and it is allowed (within reason, e.g. no griefing) but rarely done due to the cooperative nature of our player base, and no it is not a sex server, it is strictly for those who like killing stuff, and leveling their toons, with no cap) to check it out.

It is something that is truly unique in the NWN universe.

It requires CEP 2.3 or higher, and both expansion packs updated to 1.69.

               A few fun facts about Av3 I am quite proud of as someone involved in this project.

Since November of 2011, we have had 700+ new accounts created (this is when we implemented Funky's account security system in light of the loss of the master server, so it does not include those prior to this [from Av1, Av2, or Av3 until 11/11])

We have 1276 unique maps.

3672 custom scripts.

2909 custom creatures.

10474 custom items.

100+ unique tags of people who have been involved as builders and scripters in over the last 10 years.

These are all reasons why I think this mod is special, is art, and deserves to be perserved as such.

               This is something I am quite proud of.

No... not in the sense of "oh wow, look what I did", but rather in the sense of, "oh wow, look what I am been a part of." I am quite honored to have been a part of this project, both as a player, and more recently also as a developer.

Am I saying Av is unique in terms of being an artistic endevor in this medium? No, it is unique, but many PWs also are, and I give props to them all.

For my own personal gaming interests though? Nothing has held my interest like Aventia, and I give it (yes it has a life of it's own) props for that.

               We are having a rare DM facilated (most of Av3 is automated, so DMs aren't generally required except for events) story/RP/Action based event, Saturday 5/18/13 at 4:pm CST.

Event will last 1-2 hours, 3 possibly if people are really into it and turnout is high.

Requirements:
-CEP 2.3 or higher to play on Av3

-Make a new level 5 character (you get the first 5 levels for free on login, and subraces are allowed but read the info board in game before making one, it's not done by entering the subrace field on creation), lvl it up, and don't give it anything. Actual starting lvl will be 10, but I will make up the diference in XP so plan your builds accordingly.

-You all know I am not a RPer generally, but RP will be allowed and encouraged, so feel free to get creative, but keep it DnD realistic (e.g. feel free to try to persuade someone but if your skill is 0 it's not going to work unless you roll a 20.)

-There will be a story, based on Aventia lore, so feel free to get into it.

-And yes, there will be action, plenty of it. This is not your average, everyday, sit around a pond, go fishing, and type till your fingers ache type of event.

This is a perfect time to check Aventia 3 Merged- Unlimited Levels out since everyone will be on the same playing field.

               A fairly significant change for us has been a changing of the guard so to speak. Players now have a grandfathered voice on changes.
