Setting: The server storyline will begin shortly after the Seanchan are pushed out of Falme, and a few months after the assasination of the King of Cairhien. Which plunges the nation into civil war.
Scope: Initially the scope will be more limited, with three factions (Children of the Light, The White Tower, The Nations)
The White Tower has influnced, some would say controlled nations and politics since the apocaptic breaking of the world by its greatest heroes, turned to Madness in the Dark Ones final strike of vengance as the bore was sealed.
Aes Sedai are wielders of the One Power, they cannot harm by it, nor speak a lie, but the words you hear may not be what you think you hear.
The Children of the Light are a military and political organization in opposition to Darkfriends, which they see everywhere. Thier greatest foe in the Westlands is the Tar Valon witches, as they consider Aes Sedai, beleiving that only Darkfriends would dare wield the Creator's powers. They are zealous in rooting out any who they perceive as Darkfriends, turning neighbour against neighbour. A Dragon's Fang carved into a door will bring even close friends with pitchforks.
The Nations will primarily consist of people born in the various nations of the Westlands, that have no particular affiliation, except perhaps a loyalty to thier homeland. If sufficent intrest in one is gathered then political and military positions within the nation can be filled by these players.
The Server is based on the Module resources of Shadow Rising, which was taken down recently, but modified somewhat for the earlier setting. It will be used as a base for modificationd and adaptations to the rulesets.
