I'm mostly amazed how well Asmius writes for an eleven year old. Seriously. Impressive.
But still, for the sake of conversation, I should add to the discussion:

What you -won't- find however, is a staff that is gonna hold your hand, pamper your ass, and tell you that everything is going to be alright. We are a mature (18+) gaming community, and we're not here to deal with anybody's drama.
If you could address my issues as well, that would be great for potential future players. In relation to your above post, for example, "not hand holding/ass pampering" shouldn't include replying to player questions, even if they're new players, with regards to pretty important story points. As I wrote above, yes, there's always the FOIG reply, but any reply would have been preferable to none at all.
Also for reference to other forum posters, my PMed question/comments to Skeet had been:
"I figured I'd PM because the last new guy who posted about "everyone around seemed to be a tough guy" publicly was kind of scolded. I've only been on once, so I'm not going to repeat that. You seem to be the DM who knows what's going on, based on the forum, so I just had a quick question about the factions.
I was on last night and there was all kinds of talk about IRA and SAS. I asked the DM who was on at the time and he wasn't very informative; he just kind of danced around the detail and said "the SAS are bad because they look like this!" and spawned a soldier that looked like the Helghast from Killzone.

Is there an actual IC reason for the IRA and SAS to a) be in the United States, and
be fighting each other in this one city when there's probably plenty of other cities to move on to, let alone the zombie outbreak that might make people forgive/forget?
I'm new and don't have a lot of playtime anyway, but it was a bit jarring to play an intelligent character who has some concept of history and have no one explain what was going on. It was equally jarring to be following people who thought it made perfect sense to melee-attack zombies like it was nothing, as well...but my char chalked that up to crazy.

Mature atmosphere is great, and it's what I look for in games these days, but without mature RP backing the atmosphere up, it breaks the immersion considerably. Again, though, I was only around for a week, so my experience could be highly skewed from the norm. As Chass said, the scripting, general setting, and building is quite good, especially considering it's modding a medieval-based game.
