Need a (Laidback) game
« on: March 20, 2011, 04:09:45 pm »

Although I'd be glad to do it, I have never really gotten a HIGH level character (In any DnD game)
It's enough having to worry about without having to constantly say: "I punch lolwutimanoob in the face" Say: How dare you say something compleatly unrelated. "Walks away" and then walk away. ''

I need a little RP though, or else any game loses its touch. So could someone have me in a Kinda laidback RP game?  ':bandit:'

Any modual will do, and I can work up a high level character in no time.
(you see I made a Trainer modual, EX{ 40% Boost, and a 6/6hp Lich with full benifits levels fast '3') :innocent:

Thanks anyone who helps me out. '=]'

I'll throw my server's hat in the ring. Kingdom of James in PW Story. Take a look and if you like it of course you're welcome to stay.

Spam? You are out to be offensive now? Please cite my actual spam activity and report me otherwise, troll elsewhere 'dad'.

I do run a FINE pnp style PW where a number of very skilled DMs run events on a regular basis. The module is finely scripted featuring four alternate modes of locomotion from swimming to climbing, jumping to flying, more than 70 spells from the pnp game and - many more features keyed to your choice of class, race, skills and more.

If a PW that does NOT lag, crash, or frequently reset suits your tastes, a world with more than 1200 areas to explore excites your curiousity - then Argentum Regio is the place you want to be

You can give World Serpent Inn a try. We prefer RP but we also understand sometimes a guy just needs to drive an axe into an orc's skull. Pretty casual and above average leveling progress. Setting mainly in FR but also planescape. Feel free to stop in. '<img'>

I don't quite understand; are you searching for a server that allows you to import a high level character that you leveled up with your Trainer Module and then roleplay with it?

That's what I got out of it... which makes his search quite a short one indeed unless things have changed drastically since I last went looking for LV servers.

Oh and since I can apparently predict the future here's something for everyone in Canada, the Lotto Max winning numbers for this Friday, 03/25; 6 14 19 22 38 44.  Please remember to forward me 5% of your prize (what a bargain!) when you win.

What's wrong with resets?

Resets are typically done as a response to a server building-up LAG. I find this to be the case with windows servers running nwserver.exe but have not had this experience with linux running the nwserver.exe. I _suspect_ there may be some windows-based memory leaks or similar, but I swore off using windows personally with W98 so I cannot say for sure where or what the exact nature of the issue may be. More to the RP-point, resets are a manifestation of murphy's law in that they never happen at a good time RP wise; like any RL interruption, they break immersion. I avoid breaking the RP as much as possible. This is likely not as irksome in an action server than perhaps a RP or Story server *shrugs* but I like to 'let them play through' interrupting ONLY when I have updates to go live for testing, or have some insane bug rear its ugly head in an update and have to revert to prior version.

We have scripted very carefully, being lovers of lean clean code from waaaaay back (programmed back in the day of mainframes and the C64) and are pleased to note that our systems are essentially lag-free and crash-free but for very rare update-causes-crash errors, and reset free - to preserve the immersion and let the game flow as much as we are able.

Be well. Game on.
