More new updates have been added. 'Posted

Part 14 of the main dragon quest is now complete. The story has a few surprises, as well as your first of 3 encounters with the commander. I won't ruin the surprises, but you can expect the usual nasties, puzzles, bosses and treasure too.

I have started on part 15, the final part of the quest. This will include a surprise boss, and the final encounter with the commander.

We have been discussing a cep upgrade, but at the moment we are still using cep2.2c.

We've had a few new players lately, but we could use a few more. Most of our players are from North America, so anyone from Europe or further east would be most welcome. Please come give us a try, you may be glad you did. If you are new, and you see me on, send me a tell, and I'll help you get started.

Our forums are at legionofrhun.freeforums.org

Thank you.

               Hello, it's me again. 'Posted

We are still here, and still looking for new players.

More new updates have been added. We are still planning to upgrade our cep. It could be soon.

After over a year of work, our main quest, The Return of the Time of Dragons, is nearly complete. I am currently working on part 15 of 15, the Abyss and Hell. The Abyss is complete, and Hell is about half done, so just a few weeks remain. The quest is a progressive quest, in that it gets more challenging with each part. It consists of challenging combat, and scripted puzzles of many types, including riddles, lever doors, pressure plates, secret doors, timed combat on a burning pirate ship, an invisible wall maze, and even an exploding rock. There are many other types of puzzles too, and they get more nasty as you progress through the quest. If you find the combat too hard, well there is an epic shop that will sell you some new items as you obtain certain quest items. We also have a forge to upgrade your items. The quest has a story too, with some surprising twists near the end. It involves our server history, but I think new players will enjoy it too.

I hope you all will come try our server. We are mainly action, but role players are welcome too. We have something for everyone, whether you prefer action or roleplay. All we need are some more new players, lol.

Please come give us a try. 'Posted

Thank you.

I played here for a while but then people no one showed up for a week, and then the server seemed to vanish completely from the list. I looked in every category for it but it was gone. What happened?

The server has always been in PW Action. As far as I know, the server has always been where it belongs. There is a bug in the Gamespy listings that makes servers slowly disappear from the list. Perhaps it disappeared from your list and you didn't see it. I get around this problem by putting the servers I like in the favourites list.

We did lose some players to the new Star Wars game, so the server hss not been very busy lately. We did get a new player from Europe who enjoys roleplay. I hope you will still come and see us. I'm sorry that you had problems, but  the server has not been offline for anything but updates or resets in quite awhile.

Yes that is possible, but I don't remember it happening. We do keep the address listed on our own forum in the FAQ section. There is a link to our forum in some of my earlier posts.

If you are still having problems, perhaps you could post there, and our server admin can help you.

I do like what you've done with the place though I've not travelled far yet.  I do have one teensy weensy gripe though, in the server details on game-spy it says there are no item level restrictions so at the dizzy heights of level 4 I managed to scrape together enough loot for my elf rogue to buy a +1 composite bow only to be told that I'm too inexperienced to to use it  '<img'> .  Instead of firing arrows I seem to be beating things to death with the blunt end!

Yes we do have level restrictions for items.

I will take a look at that description. Thank you for pointing it out.

Glad you like our server. 'Posted

The boxes to the left of the description include one saying item level restrictions, it is something I always look for (and normally avoid). Perhaps you have a custom system in which case could you add a warning to the text. I have no idea when I'll be able to use my bow, I'm level 5 now and still no luck, when I've played on a couple of RP worlds that have ILR they normally have a note on the items saying what level you need to be to use them though adding the notes manually would seem to be a prohibitive waste of time, is there a dynamic system that does it?  What are the restrictions so I can avoid buying things I can't use?

Thanks.

Yes we are using a custom system from the old Rhun module. We no longer use Rhun, but we still use their item level restrictions. There is an item called a stone of appraisal, available at many merchants, which will give you the level required for each item. I'm pretty sure the bow you purchased is useable at level 6 or 7. A good alternative would be a longbow +1, which is useable at level 3 or 4.

The reason we use the item level restriction, is that there are some pretty powerful items available for high levels, that would completerly unbalance the module for a new character. We also have a forge, which you can add as many properties to an item as you want. There is an epic shop as well, but that is restricted by requiring quest items to purchase items.

Most of the module was already built when I became builder, so there may be some things I am not aware of. I am glad when people point some things out to me so I can make the module better. Thank you for mentioning the description. I will have the description changed for the next update. I will discuss the custom item restrictions with our server admin, and perhaps changes will be made. However we will still have a restriction on items.

Any suggestions by new players or old players are always welcome. I like to add what the players want, because they are the ones who play on our server, and we want them to have fun.

I have been playing this server from back when it was Old Legion of Rhun and we have been making changes with our server, and we are seeking some new players. We have had some changes with our building staff and dms as some do not play as much as they did .The server has decided to switch from the roleplay section of Gamespy to PW Action. We all still encourage people to roleplay if they want to , but we have always been more suited as an action server. We hope that you will come join us and help us become a better place to play.

Please come and give us a try. Most of our server rules are still listed as when we were a roleplay server. If you think that they are too restrictive, then feel free to post your opinions on our website.

Our server has ride-able horses which are nice as they give added speed for the player and a slight armor boost to the rider if riding skills are developed and guilds are here for the many classes of characters . Our server has NPC recruitable assistants that can be persuaded to aid you and your party on your quests . These are simalar to ones in Balders Gate and other games you have played before.
Most of the towns from Waterdeep to Balders Gate will be present so a man can chose which to make his own.
