About once every three months, characters from the Southern Avlis Trade Federation sponsor a 3-day mercantile orgy known as the Fabulous Ferrell Trade Faire. Located on the Ferrell server, one of 9 modules that comprise the massive world of
Avlis, the Faire boasts a rotating group of 15-20 player merchants trading anything their guilds or groups have collected that might net a little profit (or maybe a favor in the future...).
Over the years, the trade faire has come to be known as one of the best opportunities to meet and RP with characters you might otherwise draw steel and attack on sight. Things kick off on Friday night (US times), auctions are held throughout Saturday night and Sunday, the stalls are manned, and piles of players in Euro, US, and Aussie timezones hang around all weekend to find that great piece of kit, cut a deal, or just hear the gossip and catch up on the news from around Avlis. Most of the active guilds and groups will be represented, and opportunities abound for finding a new PC's niche in the world. Additionally, most of our DM staff will be dropping in at various times to sweeten the pot and stir up trouble...
If you've ever thought about coming to visit Avlis, roll up a PC on the Ferrell server starting tonight and come see what we're about. Great deals are available if you're willing to RP for them, and newbie gear can be had for a song. Roll up a bard, and you can probably take me literally!
