The Border Kingdoms WWW.BORDERKINGDOMS.COMThe Border Kingdoms has been in development since early July. This is our first announcement. Our module takes place in the wild, untamed, and fearsome lands of the Border Kingdoms - a land so charged with political ambition and war, that no map is ever accurate of the Kingdom's borders.
Adventure across a vast array of different landscapes, from abandoned Dwarven holds to sweeping mountain ridgelines. Ride a steed across the steppes, or brave the back alleys of Derlusk. There is both adventure and power to be found here - it is land ripe for the taking,
Our Mission Statement
Players are the focus Here at The Border Kingdoms, our playerbase is what matters most. Many servers are too focused upon players interacting with the environment - we want our environment to interact back with the PLAYERS. This means that the server is there for you to change, for you to shape.
Flexible, dynamic design
The server is designed so that every player may make a true MARK upon it. Want to go out and live in a cave? Do so. Want to clear a forest to build a village? Do so. Want to lead a dwarven army to re-take abandoned halls? DO so!
True Leadership
Want to become a leader? Fight for it. Having a charismatic, powerful, or intelligent character is enough to strive for true power. Sway the NPCs to your support, and take leadership of one of our many cities - then shape the very way they function. For example, after much work, a player could become a lord of Derlusk, and go to war against one of the NPC factions - or player factions - with the armies available to them.
True Faction support
Whether it be a druid circle, a Banite cult, a completely independant village or even kingdom - We are here to support you. If you have the player interest and activity, and roleplay well, you WILL make your mark upon the history of our server.
Faction size examples:
Adventurer party - 2-4 Active PCs. Example: An adventurer party who has come across magical wares. They set up a market stall, or buy a house in town.
Medium Faction - 5-7 Active PCs. Example: A cult of Velsharoon, who builds a temple to their lord in the mountains, and begins to raise an army of Undead to wreak havoc upon the land.
Large Faction - 8+ Active PCs. Example: A large group of characters who follow a leader, who has managed to convince a portion of the populace to follow him. They set out into the wilderness, and begin their own hamlet. Eventually, it grows into a sizeable town with surrounding walls, and from there, they begin their quest for expansion and military power.
NPC Support
PCs aren't the only people in the land. There are many NPCs who represent the regular peoples. These can be convinced, hired, or enslaved to serve the playerbase for various purposes. Are you the military leader of a player-village? Design the armour and uniforms of your men. The list goes on, the possibilites are endless. The only limit is your own creativity.
We already have many of our areas done, however we are still recruiting scripters (preferably with knowledge of NWNX) and talented builders. We will also begin reviewing potential Dungeon Master applicants.
