Ever thought of checking out the world of Avlis, but couldn't find a good way to start a new character?
Or have you been away from Avlis a long while and been wondering whether or not to start fresh?
Well here's the chance you've been waiting for.
Starting in August, I will be running a two week plot run 3x/week (flexible schedule) that will focus on a group of young, academy of mortal magic understudies facing their final course: A capstone research project under an established a powerful mage. This project will take them into realms of politics and intrigues in both the arcane and mundane world that will touch their lives forever as they make their way into the full ranks of Andrinor's Trust.
What this means:
1. You will begin the plot with a brand new PC. We will go over the background together in three phases: Childhood, Early Academy Education and Late Academy Education. We'll go over these pieces together and I'll help you come up with a solid background for a character who for better or for worse has been aspiring to and working towards magehood for their entire lives.
2. All of the PCs involved in the group will be of the same academy class and know one another. Once we have a clear idea of who these characters are, we'll then begin to develop a brief background on your interpersonal interactions.
3. You will be working an established PC mage who will serve as your IC mentor and project leader for this plot.
4. Until the plot is concluded (as it's a 2 week plot) you will not be able to play your character outside of the plot.
5. At the conclusion of the plot, you will all be given a Test: a magical aptitude and philosophy test which will determine where you will go as an order mage. At that point you will be considered a full member of the Trust.
What I need:
Given that this will require a great deal of time leading up to starting the plot, I can only accept a small number of players. 6 is the minimum number, while 8 is the maximum.
