CEP needs to be extracted file by file into the proper folders, or I think there's an exe version as well. The CEP installer just updates an installed CEP to the most current version. I'd suggest downloading the manual install and giving that a go.

Starting with our most recent update, you will be seeing some changes in the way loot is distributed in the game. For the most part, magical weapons and armor, especially the bioware-generic (+1 through +4 ) will be phased out in favor of wholly custom loot scaled to the CR of your opponent. This loot will be divided into four categories: Goods, Art, Coins and Information. Our goal with this is to better simulate the income of most adventuring parties, which does not as often appear as lump-sum payments of modern currency, but rather ancient and valuable objects that must be bartered for liquid wealth. So instead of pulling dozens of +1 weapons out of a dungeon at lower CRs, you'll be coming back with fistfuls of foreign coins, art objects stolen by kobolds and valuable materials such as paper and alchemical components. All this will scale appropriately as PCs gain levels, leading to them harvesting demon hide and diamond studded goblets. Hopefully this will give combat and looting a bit more satisfaction to the exploration-minded of you.

There are approximately one hundred unique loot items, samples are below. Happy hunting!

Novalith (2700 GP, Weight: 2 lb.)
Sealed in a tight wooden container with a glass lid, this plant clings to life while packed for transport, clearly yearning for something more than the meager soil and sunlight its prison offers. Composed of stringy burgandy vines ending in tiny white buds, this was probably some sort of clinging plant, either rock-grown or parasitic to trees. Novalith can be identified fairly easily by anyone with access to a reference, or a great amount of experience in the identification of magical plants. Novalith is known to burn powerfully when exposed to fire, a burst of heat both dangerous and a beautiful, luminous white. The residue of such an ignition is also white, and glows faintly for many hours after its incineration. In siege alchemy, the use of alchemical materials in the siege of a city or castle, this plant and its glowing residue is wildly valued. This would be worth much to a warring nation.

Sequesyne (2500 GP, Weight: 6 lb.)
A heavy pyramid of silver, slightly smaller than a human head, this geometric storage device is a Sequesyne, a device used for storage and delivery of important missives. Fallen out of use in most cultures, it's been discovered that it's often cheaper to hire a cadre of elite guards than craft one of these devices. Nonetheless this example remains. On its surface the Sequesyne is little more than a pyramid of folded silver, engraved on the outside with a series of complicated engraved lines, giving indication of the owner and recipient of the message contained therein. The process of 'reading' a Sequesyne is mostly a lost one, but some scholars specialize in opening them, and the valuable historical secrets contained therein can be greatly prized. When open, a Sequesyne's top rotates, exposing the hollow space inside. This particular Sequesyne is closed, and presumably locked. Breaking it open is possible, but if it turns out to be empty one has functionally bashed a valuable art object into a worthless mess.

Minor server update - major city areas are getting a facelift, and new shops.

New Undmed Event is up - http://www.jenshumat...=asc&highlight=

*A new notice is placed in the Oroborus Adventuring Guild. The handwriting, while elegant, reveals that its author was composing the message in a hurry.*

Plea for help!

Very recently, several pixies were abducted from the Fae Tree by a group of roughly seven men, for presently not yet known reason. The men appeared to be elven and dressed in an identical green outfit with a floppy green hat screaming strange phrases with a crazed look in their eyes. All carried longswords and blue, white, and red emblemed shields.

One pixie, who managed to evade the kidnapping, was able to follow the men long enough to determine that they are most probably heading to north of the Enchanted Glade. It seems they split up shortly afterward and have founded small camps and hideouts all along the north road.

Since there is no clue about what the intentions of the evildoers concerning the pixies are, I appeal to every adventurer of noble spirit to come and aid in the rescue of the fae, as soon as possible. I promise to generously reward anyone who will return the pixie(s) back to their Tree safe and well. Please, if you can help in this matter, do so!

Ralain Swoanne-Auraver

Rumour (White Stag Hall): In addition, those that live near the White Stag Hall also hear that people of a similar description have been harassing the chickens.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOC Rules and Information

-There are seven npcs (All roughly CR 10ish), each holding one of the poor captured pixies. Please only catch one of the individuals and rescue one pixie so everyone can get a chance to join in. As a note, this event will involve combat.

-Reward for this one is some gold and a unique item with the usual quest experience. In addition, the culprits might have some additional items you can take...

-Please make a post once you have completed it here so I can keep track of who I need to reward. Also we DMs like reading rp threads.

We are now accepting applications for Amateur DMs, to
allow an apprenticeship trial period for possible DMs. This works as a
way to both evaluation someone's skills and personality (to see if they
work well with the team) while at the same time trying to teach and help
them to better fit the position.

What we are looking for in DMs and ADMs:

- Common sense and emotional stability

- Fairness and good judgment

- Basic skills at proper grammar and punctuation

- Time invested into being a part of the WSI server/world

- Storytelling and role-play ability and flexibility (able to play multiple roles and able to follow plot threads)

- An understanding of the larger picture of the world, with regard to our overall campaign vision

Amateur DMs have many restrictions, from what kind of events you can run
to what kind of rewards you may give out. They are storytellers only,
and may not punish players for OOC actions. Other DMs will assist with
training for both the NWN client and in how to manage plots and events,
and offer opportunities to allow the trainee to sit in on an event or to
help out.

Keep in mind that this position is on a temporary basis. Not everyone
that takes on a DM apprenticeship will be given a full DM status and
remain on the team, though of course that is out goal. Please do not
apply if you have emotional connections to the game that would cause you
issues with being denied or demoted, because we don't wish to cause
anyone any stress over a game which should be fun.

If you're interested in trying this out, send us a PM to let us know.
Below are a few good questions to help us know about your goals and
qualifications, but feel free to add your own input.

Application Form:
