NWN Script List?
« on: April 16, 2014, 05:51:41 pm »

Is there an entire list of scripts that Bioware wrote with information regarding its name and use?

Such as, scripts that check race, class, sex, etc., as to avoid duplicate script creation?

When I search scripts - Find Files - Find in All Files in Module - it only searches custom scripts I've written, not all scripts that exist.

I'm sure Bioware wrote scripts to check for being a Dwarf, or being a Barbarian, or other checks that don't need to be recreated.

Thanks,

FP!

I pulled this off here some time ago. Not sure where the original posts are at this point.  It's by no means all of the scripts, but it's a good number of the common action taken and starting conditional ones I think.

I'm adding this into my module's Builders Guide as an Appendix - damn useful information to have.

If you actually want to search the scripts, in NWNExplorer, open the original game,  right-click on the Scripts  header, then export to a folder. Repeat for the expansions and patches in chronological order (5 exports in total) to ensure the latest versions overwrite older ones.  Search the folder using any tool that examines content e.g. FreeCommander.

My preferred tool of choice for this is Lilac Soul's Biosearcher, which searches all default scripts
