new LC script gen issue
« on: May 01, 2012, 07:14:59 am »

so i have been out of this for some time, just got back in to it and decided to try the updated version of LC's Script Gen. and have run in to a Norton security risk issue. as soon as i try and type in to the tag, resref, item, ect field the program crashes and norton deletes it. has anyone else had this issue? is there an updated version to the update?

would appreciate some info. thanks

Norton is horrible mate (too many false positives & it doesn't catch many viruses), go get Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free & it's FAR Better...

Take that from a PC Tech, if you will...

I have been working with computers professionally since 1981. My most earnest advice: avoid microsoft 'security' at all costs. Try AVG it is free and works very well. Norton components are a security risk in themselves.

What is "LC Script Gen" (sorry, I'm acronym impaired at this hour).

Be well. Game on!

Not sure if you mean Lilac Souls script generator Zero? If so, I have never experienced a problem like you describe. Then again I wouldn't/haven't used Norton. And I'd have to agree with ehye_khandee. I personally avoid using Microsoft security products and would go with Avast or AVG. Both are free and work quite well. I use Avast but that is my preference. So if in fact you are referring to LS script generator I do know for a fact that it doesn't have any problems with Avast running.
