Gamespy Account Name Length

               Nevermind, figured it out. '> Guess you can still create an account even though the master server is down.

For anyone who needs to know in the future: The limit is 40 characters

               These are BioWare community accounts and have nothing to do with GameSpy.

The protocol has an internal limit of 255 characters.  There may be shorter limits elsewhere.

               The GameSpy accounts are what I'm referring to. You know, the log-in screen when you hit multiplayer in NWN? That's what I'm talking about, not these forum accounts.

               Yes, those accounts are BioWare community accounts.  They talk to a BioWare managed server (or did, when it was operational), and use a BioWare-specific protocol.  They have no connection whatsoever to GameSpy.
