Tricky faction question
« on: April 14, 2011, 07:02:20 pm »

                Hi, I'm currently working on a multiplayer module featuring multiple factions that players can join and there will be faction wars and race wars and ... well you get the idea.

Anyways, my question is this:
All PCs (Player Characters) are in 1 faction, the PC faction, so NPCs (NON Player Characters) will react the same to all PCs, so is there a way to change that? So an orcish guard would attack an elf PC for example, but not a half-orc PC

Because I really need to do that ':blush:'

               There is a couple of ways to do this. Here are two very different systems from the vault;

Personal Reputation and Reaction (PRR) system 2.0

Vidorin's Factions By Token System

               There is also the the example in the lexicon, this way requires areas for each faction, and a little custom scripting for the issue described.  This would require a easy-moderate degree of scripting knowlage.
