Are the ready made XP systems messing with the XP calculation?
« on: September 08, 2010, 09:06:46 am »

I am pretty sure Scarfaces XP system does that as I have been looking at and altering it. It seems more geared towards action servers where huge bonuses are given when fighting much higher CR rated monsters. This is clearly not how NWN calculates it normally.

What about PWFXP2? It seems very complex in it setting....but what is the calculation like? If you use the default settings will it be more like NWN default?

most of the systems use a different calculation, mostly based of 2nd edition DND. Just make sure the XP slider is set to 0 in mod properties/advanced and find the system you like the best. I still use the bioware myself. But have tried a few of the others. Some systems also give bonus xp for party kills as well

Though I used Scarfaces System for many years, it seemed to glitch at times when PCs had either a wide spread of levels in their party, one or more was level 20+ or defeated foes had CRs well above the PCs. I never could pinpoint the exact causes and glitches were irregular. Still it was better than most systems I'd tried .... that is until Blasco's Fair Kill came out. It shares many of Scar's funtions and pulls from other systems too. I think it's the best available to date and the easiest to set up and tweak.
