My apologies for the delay in posting this, I needed to speak to a knowledgeable scripter to help me break it down.
Here's what we have so far:1.) Custom rules regarding character balance. Our original scripter ran into the infamous RL-problems so I know all about those. He's finishing up what he can, but we're going to need someone who can take a look at what he's done and help build upon it.
2.) As far as area design, we have about 5-6 people who are contributing zones (all with various degrees of experience). The majority of the zone design for the overworld is done. We're waiting on the final bit of character balance design so we can create dungeon mobs that reflect this balance concept.
We've also recently gotten a hak specialist who has been creating new haks for us that will involve not only the full CEP 2.3, but CTP and a bunch of other stuff.
What still needs to be done, and where we really need scripting help: 1.) Boss fight scripting. In order to make the boss fights fun, our balance scripter created a bunch of cool concepts which we're hoping our boss fights will reflect.
2.) Loot system. Our gear is being designed on a tiered system with the top tier dropping only from bosses in level 40 group dungeon zones. We're also hoping to implement a token-based reward system as well as a gold-drop system, both of which would award either token or gold to all players within a certain radius of a kill.
3.) General work on the loot system
4.) Tag-based death and teleport system.
5.) Integration of DMFI.
6.) Integration of HABD.
7) General maintenance once V9 goes live.
Any experience in the realm of persistence, including data-based scripting would be greatly appreciated as well.
The storyline for the re-launch is being worked on already and my hope is to give the story people as much support as possible. We expect that not everyone will agree on everything, as the old saying goes, "The only thing everyone will agree on is they didn't get exactly what they wanted", however, those who are on staff right now have shown a remarkable ability to debate, lobby and argue without anyone getting buttsore (for lack of a better word). So, bottom line is we need an integration specialist who is able to read the code of others (or the ideas of others) into a workable system apparatus.
