NwHak Error Assertion Failed
« on: July 07, 2016, 03:39:45 pm »

I did a search and couldn't find anything on the specific problem I'm encountering. I haven't done many hak merges before, so I'm not sure what this error means. Maybe someone can offer some input?

I have hak A and hak B. I want to merge hak A & B into C. Though when I try this, I get an error:

Assertion Failed \nwn_xp1\Dev\utilities'hakedit'src'nwhperf.ccp, Line: 1716

The total number of resources in the merged hak is roughly 8.7k. I believe the limit is 16k, right?

Is there a maximum file size (KB/Gig) unrelated to the resource count?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

which 2 haks are you trying to merge?

I also never merge haks using the merge feature, rather export all of one hak into a new folder, and all of the other in another folder, then open a new blank hak and import both folders in. That way I can see what is getting overwritten.

It's two random hak compilations for various stuff on the vault. All I need to do is isolate the issue and I'm golden. Is there a tool/utility program anyone knows about that could check for corrupt files in a hak?

@Shova - I'll try the two folders thing and see if that helps.
