A slightly working title
For many years have I waited in the shadows and now I have come to unleash my cataclysm upon the world of Neverwinter Nights. The hour of my wrath is nigh.
I'm relatively new to many people here since I haven't uploaded anything except for the Anubisath constructs of southern Kalimdor, outlandish talbuks, zhevras of the barrens, and the lion of the alliance. They were for the African Adventues Content Challenge. My plan is to unleash hordes of my custom content on the vault of Neverwinter but since it may take eons to finish, I might give you a glimpse of my creation. I've also been constructing some personal modules. It all started when I attended the course of "Psychology of Play" at Full Sail University. Sharing my experience of playing Neverwinter Nights and its toolset was how I got into intense NWN modding.
But first let me introduce you all to my character's biographies.
Most of these are my real characters from World of Warcraft btw.
Zugoth:
A rookie rogue who journeyed through the campaigns of Neverwinter Nights countless times. After dying a unfortunate death, he came back from the dead, reborn as "DarkNDeadly", originating from the world of Azeroth. Some of my men came with me. All of them, including my other half, suffer from a horrible darkness, known as the Plague of Undeath, wrought by the undead scourge. The army of the scourge washed through the regions of Lordaeron and assimilated many lives into their ranks in the name of the Lich King. As months have passed, however, a group of undead freed themselves from the Lich King's will, when his powers began to wane. This group eventually became the Forsaken, under the rule of the dark lady "Sylvannas Windrunner". The forsaken gain dominion over the dark woods of the Tirisfal Glades and soon most of lordaeron. Thus DarkNDeadly, along with his fellow undead, were born.
Lemagel:
A rookie warrior and enthusiastic explorer. His other occupations are mining, smelting, and skinning. Some of his names were "Tribesman" and "UndeadW". He began his journey in Deathknell to train for war. He would rather travel to places and explore so he ditched most of his training, getting killed several times while exploring. One notable death occurred in the Bulwark(border between Tirisfal Glades and the Western Plaguelands), where a diseased black bear killed him quickly. Another was in the Tirisfal Coast, where alien-like creatures known as the murlocs ganged up on him. He thought there might be giant sea creatures and sea gods that the murlocs serve so he decided to cross the sea to find out, dying from sea fatigue. Rather than continue to Silverpine forest, Lemagel decided to take to zeppelin to another land. Durotar was his first destination on the zeppelin. He dyed many times traveling to the Barrens, Stonetalong Mountains, Azshara, and many other places. Years after the Lich King's defeat, he achieved the tabard prize with the explorer icon and was entitled "The Explorer".
Urobach:
A death knight who served the Lich King once again but finally came back as the forsaken. He also has a fascination of making potions & collecting herbs. Little is known except for his vigilant nature, a dark knight.
ChaoticEvil:
A chaotic warlock of twilight who was another version of DarkNDeadly, comparable to the evil version of batman. He was present during the war in Pandaria where he joined the Council of the Black Harvest to wield more power. He had to find a tome in the Isle of Thunder, an island northwest of Pandaria. After retrieving the tome, ChaoticEvil went to Outland to visit the council in the Black Temple. His powers became corrupted with fel fire after defeating Kanrethad Ebonlocke. A great deal was learned but with dissatisfaction of fel energy. So he searched for other dark power, applying what he learned from the Black Harvest. By interrogating a captured twilight cultist and defeating his master, he now harnesses the dark energies of twilight, as the chaotic creatures heed to his call.
DarkNDeadly:
The reincarnation of Zugoth, a disenchanter and a veteran champion of the forsaken who became something more. He had to start from the beginning in Northrend. After the events of Cataclysm and Pandaria, During the events of the Cataclysm and the War in Pandaria, DarkNDeadly searches for any means to enhance himself and achieve his goals. Believing that the Bloodfang Armor Set is best suitable, he seeks out Nefarian's lair in Blackrock Mountain and kills him. He also joins Wrathion in an assassination of the remnants of the Black Dragonflight in exchange of the legendary daggers, "Deathwing's Fangs"(They are yet to be invented in NWN). Reclaiming these key artifacts made DarkNDeadly a formidable force that even a demigod would find difficult to fight alone.
Now we can go on with the content part.
Amnesia: The Dark Descent:
The servants of Amnesia have come to haunt the world of Neverwinter Nights. The gatherers use the flesh golem's animations while the suitor uses animations from a ghoul.
[continued]
Now come the manifestations of the shadow. These were custom made by me. What I did was collect lots of models(including dead bodies, bones, and the fountain from the Back Hall making its head as the Shadow Fiend's) and stitched them together in several meshes. I've applied some intense dangling with the Aurora Flex modifier on all the meshes.
The Langoliers:
The Langoliers, those flying meatballs that consume everything in their paths.
The textures were from images of these teeth-filled spheres. I used a beholder's jaw and duplicated it twice, used the bone worm's(WOW) jaw and stitched three of them with some parts of beholder for the skin mesh to make a Langolier.
The Quake Bestiary(There is one duplicate of each monster with a different texture. Only the scrag has one extra. It, along with Rotfish, Tarbaby and Shub-Niggurath use their full skin meshes.):
[Grunt] - A soldier of some kind.
[Rotfish] - A fiendish undead fish with green eyes and blood gills.
[Enforcer] - An enchanted version of the grunt.
[Ogre] - The leatherface of quake. It wields a chainsaw and can throws its grenades at long distances.
[Knight] - Just a knight but a little more demonic.
[Hell Knight] - Now here's a true demon knight. It's other name is a death knight.
[Shambler] - A faceless monster with teeth that shoots lighting at its enemies.
[Vore] - A three legged creature that throws bloody bolts at you.
[Fiend] - Some demon thing that jumps at you and mauls fiercely unclose. This one's a crappy model since it uses the lion's animations but it's just a placeholder for now. I'm working to make some real animations for it.
[Rottweiler] - It's a dog, but a bloody one.
[Scrag] - A flying snake wizard spitting at its opponent.
[Tarbaby] - A blue blob.
[Zombie] - A invulnerable zombie with only its vulnerability to bombs.
[Shub-Niggurath] - The black goat of quake that is invincible.
[Chthon] - Lord of hell in quake.
Giant Komodo Dragon - One of the largest animals on the planet, based on the Curse of the Komodo film. I've used allosaur(Carnivores series) for the head, and the rest on one of Baba's lizard models. I'm still thinking about switching it to another animation model.
Crawler Zombie - Just some extra zombie I wanted to add.
Parasite Super Tyrant
This is just a tyrant model I borrowed from TF3DM, a bioweapon based on Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. Its claw animations are modified to fit the tyrant's swings.
Qiraj Tyrant
The Qiraj Tyrant, one of C'thun's super bioweapons snatching its Anubisath host. This was inspired by Resident Evil: Damnation, you know that horror movie where the lickers face off against the tyrant who evolved with claws. Maybe I could have a couple of Allosaurs fight off an Anubisath until it mutates into a Qiraj Tyrant.
Finally some dinosaurs. No these are not true dinosaurs with their real animations but certain ones from the early dinosaur interpretations and the Carnosaurian beasts from the Carnosaur film franchise. I will eventually make real dinosaurs but it probably won't happen any time soon.
The Carnosaurs(1993-2001)
[Deinonychus(left)] - Larger than the real one, it is the main antagonist of Carnosaur(1993). A lizard headed lumbering raptor is much more terrifying than a 6th foot turkey. Deinonychus uses the wererat animation model with some modified animations.
[Velociraptor(right)] - One of the most famous raptor menaces among popular culture with the exception of large hands and its vertical posture. It appeared on all but the first film. It uses a heavily modified werewolf animation model with some raptor characteristics.
[Tyrannosaurus Rex(middle)] - A tripod moving tyrannosaur quite smaller than its real counterpart. It made its appearance on all Carnosaur films. Her model costume was recycled to create these two lumbering beasts(the image below).
Toy Dinosaurs - These were based on my old toys I had for a long time. I used a draigar figure from Mega Bloks Dragons for size measuring.
[Colossal Green Tyrannosaurid] - A humongus upright tyrannosaur behemoth green colored with a red on its belly.
[Orange Dwarf Tyrannosaurid] - A predator so small for a T-rex but still pretty vicious and thus more scarier it can even run at high speeds. This one is yellow colored with its back orange.
The Boogeymen:
These two I borrowed from Garry's Mod's Workshop.
[Jason Voorhees] - The mass serial killer coming to spoil the 13th of Friday in Neverwinter.
[Ghostface] - The masked murderer on a killing spree. His mask was modified to make it more realistic.
Jawless Yoko:
That horrific-looking jawless corpse of Yoko possessed by the spirit of Kayako from the horror film "The Grudge(2004)". It left me fear stricken for many years. It was only recently that I overcame the nightmare. By expressing my greatest fear via art & modding, the curse has lifted. Still it seeks to haunt everything it touches in the world of Neverwinter. I added some dandling on the tongue and an emitter dripping blood from the tongue to make it more realistic. There are also three more versions of Yoko which are just reskins of the flesh golem.
And here are some of my early models(these are not all the monsters). These may not be added though since they're just reskinned models. The skins are comprised of the infected, Duel monsters of Yu-Gi-Oh raised from the dead, prehistoric beasts from Un'Goro Crater and a colored drider.
I'm also doing another pack based on the World of Warcraft. I've made a lot of human models, along with the internals, the Lich King(I've added another Lich King with a Nazgul-themed texture not included in this pack), the Anubisath constructs already published in the African Adventures content and many more. Most wow models come in pieces instead of whole skins but I skin them back and even add their ordinary wow animations in the future.
