Having Trouble With SetPhenoType
« on: October 27, 2015, 04:00:10 pm »

I can't seem to get the SetPhenoType command to work for me, nor any other console command. I recently downloaded Issig's Slight and Tall phenotypes, and I was attempting to test them out, but I kept getting "function not found" messages. So I tried it with the ordinary Big phenotype, and that didn't work either. Neither did the DM commands. But I never used the console commands much before, and I took a break from NWN for a good long while, so it obviously must be that I'm doing it wrong

Could someone explain to me in ~very~ basic terms how to use the SetPhenoType command?

(The other commands are less important to me at the moment - it's just the phenotypes that I'm trying to play around with right now.)

console commands are accessed by first typing DebugMode 1 in the console. Then you can run your compiled scripts in the module.

You'll want to write a script which you can call from the console, or from a placeable activation. In the toolset, click on some object's onUse script property and create one which changes your phenotype to various states.

For help using SetPhenotype, search "nwn setphenotype lexicon"

This page has a custom script for a dialog control.

Wow. I'm hopeless. Thank you for clearing that up. I have no idea why I thought I could get it to work as a console function.
