Proposal to amend the Vault guidelines

I've made a proposal to update the Vault guidelines:

The main reason is that the old Vault guidelines don't really help newcomers with questions like this:

So I've attempted to get closer to how things work now.


May I politely request that we don't rehash all the old discussions in this thread, but focus specifically on the practical guidance that will help and encourage new builders.


i'd welcome Likes / Dislikes on the proposal page to guage community feeling about it, and of course constructive comments on the wording,
