Speaking of sharks and gills, everyone loves Hexanchus

Incidently I have a plan coming along as soon as I glue these crab claws onto some uncooperative Beholders...

Tseramed's Fishing System uses a ripple effect, although I've never tested it myself.  http://neverwinterva...y-configuration

Zwerkules made one the FP shares with a moon and sun effect.  http://neverwinterva...oon-and-ripples

In keeping with the open seas and rivers theme ... lets not forgot the placeable waves.  http://neverwinterva...set/shore-waves

Thanks for the links! TS's system (like most of the others I've examined) uses the silence VFX. It looks approximately right, but it plays a weird growling sound effect. I'll check out the others, though.

Blue_whale_01.jpg

It has been made from a free model at "tf3dm.com". polygons reduced with "Meshlab":

Under control? I don't think so!

YET STILL EVEN MORE SHARKS!

Managed to finish two more - the Great White and Tiger Sharks...

But those are already available, right? Right, but they're TOO DAMN SMALL! And the textures weren't exactly inspiring either. And the Great White had a curious blob on its underside between its pectoral fins for no appreciable reason...

So now there are new PHoD versions which are nice and BIG!

PHoDsharks3.jpg

Apart from a few tweaks and new textures, these Great White and Tiger Sharks are now BIG, just in case I hadn't mentioned it.You can thus now point at the Great White and, ensuring you sound like Richard Dreyfuss and Robert Shaw, say "That's a twenty footer!" "Twenty-five, three tons of him." And if you can do Roy Scheider as well, you may feel compelled to add "We're going to need a bigger boat!"

And the Tiger Shark is thirty feet plus.

No idea why the texture for the currently available Great White was just sort of all over white, since Great Whites aren't white, except underneath, but still. Now they can be appropriately black on top as is the chromatically paradoxical habit of Great Whites... And yes, I know Tiger Sharks' stripes tend to fade as they get older and larger so these stripes are a bit bold for a thirty-foot specimen, but since the currently available Tiger Shark's stripes are barely visible, I wanted to make the markings more notable for this one as much for greater variety as any other reason.

(Given their size, these might be useful as Dire/Legendary Sharks as Shadooow mentioned?)

It's too late now but a c. megalodon would have been nice.

Say hello to the Eyes of the Deep. Comes in Red (To be 2E style!) and a version that was supposed to be a horrible abyss version, but ended up as Neon Laser Rave

Tarot - I already said my Megalodon was not entirely ready (still augmenting its dentition), but that's not to say it won't get released at a later date, along with the other currently unfinished Sharks and the Giant Sawfish...

And here are those Demoness Tales loadscreens I mentioned:- The two "ship in storm" ones are from a collection of maritime art I had sitting around for ages but I'm afraid I have no information on who the artist/s were. The other one is just a picture of the sea obtained via the pathetically simple expedient of me walking to the bottom of the garden with a camera and taking a photo of the sea when it wasn't looking.

Not very inspiring, but if they're any use, you're welcome to them.

Am now going to email a big, waterproof box to TAD containing Sharks, the Nautilus, Bathyspheres, etc, etc.

One of my unfinished Sharks is precisely that - a fictional "Hyena Shark". A sort of undersea T-Rex with a formidable arsenal of weaponry... but it's going to take a bit of work yet, so it won't be in this month's box. The rest of the Sharks will probably end up in some future PHoD Creature Hak.

My loadscreens will be slightly delayed due to RL and getting to grips with the Loadscreen Construction Kit v1.1b which automates the whole process more or less.

Finally got the loadscreens working properly. My bad, not the great tool I mentioned in my previous message. Just this minute sent in.
