Protest signs are a go. (EVERY CCC IS "Why So Serious?"-CCC IF YOU BELIEVE IN IT HARD ENOUGH!)

Further sign ideas of mine include "WOULD YOU LIKE TO BUY THIS SIGN?" "NOPE" ":(" "I MODERATELY DISAPPROVE" "THIS THING IS HEAVY". Feel free to pitch in. I'm also handing these over to TMP to create more variants(and maybe better inventory icons, mine are just shoddy) shortly; this CCC-submission may be considered a two-author collaboration.

also, hi guys! :-)

Finally, the Lord Nasher berk gets what he so richly deserves for sporting the most hideous moustache in Faerun...

Heads1.jpg

Just to show I have actually being hitting some severed heads with a brick from time to time...

Currently got five different heads, as torch models, no emitters as yet for dripping blood - they've got bloody mushes of very dangly danglymesh stuffed on the underside to insinuate, well, bloody mush.

Not at all happy with results so far. The torch model is basically useless for severed heads since it means that whenever you raise a severed head and wave it about it makes whooshing flame noises as of a burning torch, which is more than a little rubbish.

Also problematical is the fact that different Creature models have different "weapon scale" settings in the 2da (which affects all holdable objects), meaning that a severed head that looks correct if a Human holds it up looks freakishly not at all the right size if a Halfling or HalfOrc holds it, for example. Being ten feet tall, Lucirath has a fairly high weapon scale setting and Nasher's head looked like a bloated, bulbous sack of potatoes with a bad moustache and rescaling the model was the only way to make it look "normal". Then of course, a Human picks it up and it's the size of a tennis ball. Doesn't matter for most objects, knives, placards, whatever, because they can be various sizes. But someone's head ought to remain the same damn size.

Even creating an entirely new "Head" category on the baseitems 2da to eliminate the daft noises and other problems of the torch category isn't going to solve this scale problem. Demonesses are my problem, but even the scale changes in the heads between the standard NWN phenotypes are, to my mind, highly unsatisfactory... Will hit things further with bigger bricks, see what happens.

We'll get to some of them. We're also going to provide a PSD file that will make it easy to create custom ones. I'll also write up a tutorial.

Different coloured lettering would be nice too.

I wonder, is it technically possible to model a character dragging something along the ground? Like a thief with a large sack of loot, for example?

that would be hard to do since it would not interact with the ground. but i bet an artist could pull it off close enough for NWN.
