Problems, problems, problems...
I thought I had made about fifty Skyboxes for NWN, this figure based loosely upon a wild guess. Now that I'm actually rummaging in the Big Box I discover that I have subliminally failed to register the numbers in the 2da and have, in fact, made no less than one hundred and thirty-six Skyboxes... which is an unfeasibly vast pile of them to go heaving about at the Vault. And some of the early ones I did millions of years ago - when I clearly had no idea what I was doing - are completely rubbish. I want to go for quality rather than quantity.
Even so, weeding out the useless ones and stamping upon them until they're dead, there are still more than I thought. A lot more. So I'm deleting the rubbish from my own Skybox Hak, unable to avoid improving a few of the better old ones as I go, and then trying to narrow down a selection for the Vault that might actually be of use to anyone but me. And doing a screen capture for each one so that you know what they look like.
And I now completely hate these screenshots. That's a 20x20 Tile Area in these images, but because it's an empty black blob - to better show off the Skyboxes, I thought - there's no sense of scale, so the Skyboxes look like a poster on a wall three feet away. This irritates me, but, besieged by huge, lumpy, half-built Spleen Creatures as I am presently, I haven't the time to scrap everything and start fabricating a suitable area to show off each Skybox in a logical and interesting setting...
