I don't know PHoD, can your demoness in the French Maid outfit scream like the women did in scifi up until the 70s?  You know, that piercing, hands on the side of her face, eyes wide, trembling shriek of pure movie terror?

---discretely steps behind a brick proof force field---

Quite possibly, those ladies know how to elicit screams like that from men....  ''

I watch no television at all and haven't for twenty years or more, so I wouldn't know... But my girls definitely wouldn't do anything so rubbish as bulge their eyes like plates and scream (presumably to ensure they're noticed by whatever rubbery horror is startling them with its unrealistic appearance). And as KlatchainCoffee noted, many are the men, and indeed huge monsters, that have fled hooting in terror from Lucirath - with good reason.

Anyway, hoped to have this big box on the Vault today, but having dug out all the old stuff and examined it, I find that it's all completely rubbish. Well, maybe not completely, but I had pants all idea what I was doing when I made them for the KYRU series a few years back and there are some dodgy meshes, diseased texturing and the walkmeshes are crappy and so forth. So I'm updating them, polishing them, improving them, augmenting them and generally applying a very large brick to them with psychotic glee. So the old stuff will all be new stuff too. Shouldn't take more than a day's hitting with bricks... I don't want to put a heap of total dribble on the Vault; there's plenty of that in my prehistoric subs dragged over from the Old Vault.

You can amuse yourselves in the meantime with all the images here, on the ALIEN and Doctor Who threads... and there may be images of some of the stuff on the thread I put over in the Knights of the Old Republic section of this site, called "KotOR III Can/Does Exist" or something like that. Can't remember what images I put on that now, might all have been interiors. Not sure.

Anyway - speaking of KotOR, a while back I accidentally converted some of the robots in the KotOR games to NWN Creature Models, so they can go in the big box too.

There's far more work involved than I thought in improving some of the older stuff and testing all the new walkmeshes, etc. But the improvements are very definitely worthwhile, so I'd rather delay putting the Hak on the Vault for two or three days and thus provide a much better (and bigger) resource.

DomeA.jpg

Will only be a few days at most, and it'll be worth it, honestly. Also adding several more new things as ideas have oozed out of dark recesses of my mind and pounced upon me like a big bag of toads.

(Found the Predator ship I converted from AvP2, so that's gone in the big box also.)

Predator.jpg

(Yes, I do also have Predator Creature models, four different ones at the moment, finished except for getting the danglymesh on the dreadlocks right - Vaguely musing over the idea of DEMONESS vs ALIEN vs PREDATOR which might be fun, but probably a bit silly. If anyone wants the Predator(s), I can put them on the Vault some time - when I get round to fixing their dreads).

Might be a bit silly, but I would like to see some of the Predator outfits made into clothing. A necklace of small skulls, wiremesh man-suit, assymetric shoulders.

My favourite Skyrim race mod remains the Predator mod, so I would be down for some Predators If Predators make sense in Skyrim, they make even more sense in NWN.

Plus, y'know, Predators love the ultimate hunt. And what's more of an ultimate hunt than a Spleen killing demoness?

Fifi reminded me of the Holographic Display things. They've gone in the Big Box.

HoloDisp.jpg

Next post should be to say it's gone on the Vault, 'cause I can't really be bothered with this rubbish any more.

Almost... I was gripped with morosism... morosity... moroseness... whatever the hell it is... this morning and was completely wigged off with anything metallic and futuristic. I get like that if I'm away from ancient, overgrown stones or beasts with large teeth for too long. And I really do need to keep working on these Dinosaurs now that some of them are actually starting to look like Dinosaurs. I mean, I first did the Spinosaurus and the Ceratosaurus about six years ago so they really NEED to be reworked and polished... anyway...

Fifi always knows what sharp sticks to poke me with when I go rabid, so she said I should build the Liberator from the television series Blake's 7. I told her it was an impossibly weird shape and there was no chance. She hit me with a brick. I capitulated and hit gmax with a brick and am now quite startled by the fact that in a very short space of time, I've managed to nail together a pretty accurate Liberator... (simplification for NWN polycount restraints, naturally).

PHoDliberator.jpg

Still needs a bit of work, but I'm quite pleased with it. Luce is quite some distance in the foreground (ground?). The Liberator is BIG. It's not "full-size" - I seem to recall an estimated hull length of 780 metres - but I made it as large as it could be whilst still being at least vaguely practical in NWN.

Size is always a bit of constraint in NWN. I made a really nice Gojira model a couple of years back, enthusiastically added more teeth and spikes, scaled him up nicely to an accurate size... and then found that in-game you could really only see up to about his knees and that he couldn't move much since he was so big he kept hitting walkmeshes on Tileset parts and Placeables with every step... Of course, Gojira should just stamp them into the ground, but that doesn't happen in NWN, making for a very finite size cap for Creatures... BUT THAT'S NOT GOING TO STOP ME MAKING DINOSAURS!!!

Edit:- But I'll post all this futuristic stuff on the Vault tomorrow before I revert entirely to the Mesozoic.

<warning - evil grin forming>

You going to do the bridge for it as well?  ''  You know, convert that model I found on the web and sent you a little while ago?

That would be a Bridge Too Far...

Largely 'cause that model was sufficiently high-poly to kill NWN stone dead just by looking at it... But Fifi is slowly poking her own version in gmax with a pointed stick and it's coming on quite well - when she actually bothers to work on it. Won't be done for this Hak, but if and when she does finish it, it can go in an update. Or it might end up in with the TARDIS and KotOR Interior Tilesets, when those ooze their way to the Vault.

Industrial1.jpg

Nasty, dirty bit of a whopping Industrial City... well, just a stack of rubbery PHoD Placeables, actually, all of which have been crammed in the Big Box with the aid of a Big Brick by Fifi, who has Big B... I have been informed that I can finish that sentence OR I can live.

I went for Option Number 2.

Resort.jpg

Some sort of futuristic holiday resort with lumpy hotels... or something...

I don't know why Fifi gets so sensitive - I mean, all my Demoness characters are based on her, more or less - they've got the same curves, overt musculature and the same homicidal disposition... Well, Faun isn't homicidal (that's Faun in the ridiculous housemaid outfit) and she isn't a Demoness. A Fey creature of the woods who doesn't really like violence, though she'll push someone's face in if she really has to. Mostly she's just interested in wine... So not entirely unlike Fifi too in so much as...

Apparently that sentence has been vetoed also.

Lab.jpg

An Obviously Sinister Experimental Laboratory unquestionably involved in ill-advised research that will give rise to hordes of rubbery Spleen Monsters that will rampage about killing everything in their path, etc, etc, etc...

Not that you couldn't use it as a power station or an unfathomably weird library or a singularly debased piece of cheese or anything else. That's the whole point of Placeables like these. Make them work for you. That's what they're for.

Harbinger.jpg

Some sort of grotty gasworks in the middle of nowhere... with spacecraft.

Those familiar with KotOR will recognize the ship as a Republic cruiser of the same class as the Endar Spire and the Harbinger... actually it is the Harbinger, nailed badly together from pieces sawn haphazardly out of KotOR II and pelted randomly with bricks until it miraculously reconstituted itself at a workable size. As with the Liberator (above), I scaled it down a bit to make it more practical.

All this and more shall be yours before this day is ended... well, unless I get attacked by one of my own sodding monsters again...

SEE how PHoD got just a tad carried away with the Weird Blobotronic Generator With Bits On...

Blobotron.jpg

Probably only stopped because if I glued any more bits on, I'd completely obscure all the bits already glued on...

And since I've mentioned Faun and the fact that she's mostly interested in wine, NEVER LET INEBRIATED, FUN-LOVING FEY CREATURES DRIVE YOUR SPACESHIP!

WizardPrang.jpg

But anyway, you're probably nauseated to the point of going "Neeee-WOM!" with endless screenshots of rusty, metallic garbage nailed to assorted Tilesets. You want to get your hands on a Big Box full of rubbish and rummage about in it. Or at least, the three people who might actually still be doing anything with futuristic settings do anyway.

IceTowers.jpg

Have no fear - The Big Box is NOW AVAILABLE, which, if nothing else means I'll shut up about factories and stop vending endless screenshots of stupidly large metal stuff.

And there it is, an actual link...
