Been busy with real life, computer change issues, and NWN burnout after pushing out the CEP update. Yesterday was the first time I've run gmax in 2 months.

This month, y'all will be getting three models from me.

#1: a pigeon (creature model), nonflying, for populating city areas with the "rats with wings"

#2: a pigeon (placeable model), for placing on statues, ledges, or wherever

#3: a "dock junk" golem (creature model), for...um...beating up adventurers, I guess.

The golem's anchor shows a blue-green glow during one combat animation, accomplished by slightly moving a self-illuminated copy of the anchor out from inside it. Not a perfect all-around glow, but I like it enough to keep it in (and it matches the glow of the golem's "eye".

The pigeons have a new texture, but the golem's textures all come from NWN resources.

How about a special "flying pigeon" poop attack spell vfx ?

Sort of a "death from above" dollop....lol...

Great inclusion AD...

but the placeables, could they have an animation cycle so some might move about pecking and preening?

What about a crowbar as a weapon model? I imagine that would be a tool/weapon-of-convenience for many urban rogues.

And all I have is a response for  Fester Pot. Well OK 120 responses actually. That's right. 120 more placeables for walls. No piccies... yet. I am have the hak made and am in the process of creating the blueprints. Until I have done that I won't know if there are any bugs in the models. Once that is done, I'll change the tga's for dds and compile the models.

Obviously to create that number of placeables in the time I have taken, I have made a lot of use of brushes. These are mainly from sets that are made by the lady who runs Obsidian Dawn.

Back to that reference question I had for you. The piece of graffiti I was talking about was - Desi (heart) Lucy. This referred to Desi Arnaz who starred alongside his then wife, Lucille Ball in the hit show "I Love Lucy" in which they played husband and wife. They also jointly formed the media company "Desilu Productions" which owned the studios wherein the original Star Trek TV series was filmed.

Now I'm betting that everyone got the "Nightmare on Elm Street" reference  '' .

So here you go, a picture showing 9 of the symbols.

wall.gif

As before half the number are chalk and the other half are charcoal. That is there 60 chalk placeables and sixty identical (except for the colour) charcoal placeables. As FP said

Would you be swayed to create markings too for the walls? You know, some that could be thief signs, or wizard markings of dots, or a circle with another circle inside, three small triangles, etc.

not all of the designs are unique. Some of them have directionality (e.g. one points left and another identical one points right etc.). This allows for even more variation in whatever meanings the user chooses for them (e.g. left=safe & right=stay away).

Just want to make one thing clear here. After making 270 placeables (and incidentally smashing any previous record for items by a single author in a single month) am finished for this month. Or at least I will be once I complete the documentation. However, don't let me stop anyone else from having a go (beware of RSI however).

Have just now sent my submission in. I of course "cheated" in that I haven't made a demo module for it as I didn't want to have to make a 2 (scale) kilometre long wall fit into a module... What I have sent is a hak, an erf, a text file with the placeable.2da lines and the catalogue mentioned above. Suggestion to AD - should you make a demo module for this month's content don't include all of the graffiti otherwise you'll miss out on Christmas (the preceding is a joke) and anyone wanting to see what graffiti is there can always look through the catalogue.

Weapons_Urban.jpg

Here are some "urban" weapons, Including the crowbar requested by Bluebomber4evr; BTW I don't understand why you call that tool "crowbar", What is its relation with crows?

Weapons_Urban01.jpg

Crowbar, law-enforcer baton and walking cane are club models. And the butcher knife is a handaxe model.

Weapons_StraightRazor.jpg

Also I have made a new kind of weapon, the straight razor, it's quite similar to the dagger, but it has slashing damage, and better critical rating. For its stats I have based on this article from the D&D wiki:

http://www.dandwiki..../Straight_Razor

I have included it in the exotic category, because it's not designed to be used as a weapon, and one would need quite training for using it efficiently as a weapon...

Weapons_StraightRazor01.jpg

I'm not in a mood to make a new TLK file for this. So I have chosen an entry from the default NWN TLK file. So  in the wizard item  of the aurora toolset, this new kind of weapon appears as "Soulrazor Minion"....

So awesome, thanks Shemsu! I knew I could count on you! '<img'>

As for why it's called a "crowbar", I looked it up on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia..../Crowbar_(tool)

The accepted etymology[2][3] identifies the first component of the word crowbar with the bird-name "crow", perhaps due to the crowbar’s resemblance to the feet or beak of a crow. The first attestation of the word is circa 1400. They also were called simply crows, or iron crowsWilliam Shakespeare used the term iron crow in many places,[4] including his play Romeo and Juliet

Other sources suggest that "crow" is probably a corruption of "cow". The modern Swedish word for crowbar is "kofot", meaning "cow foot".
