Quick synopsis of arcane

A Arcane is a tall, lanky blue humanoid that stands about 9 feet tall and weighs around 600 pounds. Its hands are thin and spidery, each finger with an extra joint.

As I was sifting through all the great content already available in project Q it accord to me that a few more variations on rods, staves and wands would be nice to see. I feel you can never have enough variety.

Thank you for all your time and hard work on this project.

My suggestions:

I would love to see the WIP models in action(Purple Worm, Mouther) also the Carrion Crawler model that I've been asking for a time now could use a update - baba's model is far the best out there, but could use some minor animation fix (walking & death)

Also new updates on Remorhaz would be a great addition.

I would also love to see Lord of worms Yuan Ti models.

And the Umber Hulk update sound like a good idea.

Q is a great project as it is - but you could never have enough '<img'>

Creatures I would love to see:

Phaerimm

Sharn

Moar Giant types!  Storm and Cloud mostly. Death Giants would be neat too.

And most of all, Linnorm, specifically a Corpse Tearer.

And most of all, Linnorm,

I've got some terrible non-Q versions of these in the pipeline if they don't get to it

This being the month of All Hallows' Eve, how about adding some (if not all) of the awesome creatures from last months Ravenloft CCC? Maybe you could even add the therein included music tracks to the PQ ambientmusic.2da for out-of-the-box compatibility.

Like some other people above, I'd also really like the LoW Yuan Ti Abominations Cerv is working on getting included in PQ.

Regarding tilesets, I think you're already working on the two things I'd love to see the most; that being the PQ style city exterior and mountainous terrain for TNO. Further in the future some cool things would be TNO rural winter, the oriental tileset Cervantes was working on a while back and the LoW jungle tileset.

Something I already suggested a while ago, but I hope you don't mind me trying again: How about adding some of the animal and monster heads from previous CCCs as helmets? Even as helmets they could be used as heads for NPCs to make some truly horrific humanoid monsters and for PCs they can be used simply as masks or such. Plus, as helmets they'd automatically scale to any race and gender.

And one last thing I also asked about in the past: How about Issigs Flintlock Gun? I can see this item not fitting PQ, but I thought asking once again can't hurt either.

Bumping this.

I know of few very high quality winter sets with pine trees. A version of q rural in winter with pine trees would be fantastic.

Second, nwn has seen very few new skybox additions in quite some time. What was wonderful about the stormy overcast skyboxes in Q is that they inherited fog color from the area, allowing greater control over area color. A version of these with mountains in the distance would be great!

I wanted to ask for permission to port project Q creatures to NWN2. The vault seems to list different permission levels for Q content than the Q website, so I figured it would be best to ask directly.

As I understand it, TAD is now the custodian of Q, so maybe I'm speaking out of turn, but I believe that it has long since been established in forum posts that Q is now open content, as specified on the vault (the website and download information are out-of-date). Certainly, builders have been proceeding on that assumption in recent months, so I don't think you need permission (though of course credit should be given).

That was my understanding as well, what I wanted to confirm it as I wasn't able to find posts here in the forums confirming it's open-ness. Below is the difference in usage I was asking for clarification of:

The Q website

http://qnwn.net/home...d=134&Itemid=95

Can I take material from Q and place them into my own haks?

Project Q will make available some of our artwork for public distribution every major release, however, unless you have received approval to do so by the original artist, Q cannot grant the right to distribute our material to others.  It is an agreement we make with people submitting art to us, to prevent them from losing control over their own works.

People wishing to use art from Q in their own personal haks will have to make a request.  Our email is projectq [at] qnwn.net.  Most requests will be approved.

Q on the Vault lists it's status as:

Permission Detail:

Content is released free and open to the Neverwinter Nights Community.

Why not PM TADhimself and finally get this settled?

I realize this post is a bit old, but try winter wildlands with snowy fir tree placeables... all available within Q.  Looks pretty neat.

I've tried stuff like that, but having a lot of placeable trees around isnt a great solution imo.

@Kamal - the Q website you reference is the OLD site. The newest incarnation of the site is hosted on the new vault @ http://q.neverwintervault.org.

Project Q is OPEN content. While credit certainly would be nice (and is the typical route taken by most content compilations), it isn't required. When I announced Project Q was open source and updated the terms nearly a year ago, none of the artists that had contributed complained one bit about it. See the next to last and the last questions in the updated FAQ on the Q site - http://q.neverwinter...and-answers/faq. Part of the original terms of submitting content to Project Q was that Project Q reserved the right to modify the terms. As head of Project Q at the time, I updated the submission terms to be in compliance with the EULA for the game.

TAD is the current custodian of Project Q. As soon as I can, I'll turn the reins - passwords, updater, etc. - fully over to him; I've just been exceptionally busy and haven't had time to sort all the information  that needs to be passed along. I'd rather turn over everything at once rather than piecemeal it over and miss some vital component.  Maybe Rolo will see this - and the PM I'll send him - and take care of getting TAD access to the site and updater.
