zep_* scripts you can pull in from the cep2_add-sb_v1.erf file (File > Import...), or keep cep2_add_sb_v1.hak attached to your module if you were using it and really like it.

If you've already built with cep2_ext_tiles.hak, you can't just switch to the add_tiles* haks. (and the same goes for trying to switch the other way, as well).

Otherwise, any 2.4 module should work just fine with 2.60.

Zwerkules' tilesets are not included because a) he didn't give permission and 'B)' they're still a work in progress, even if they are already amazing.  I added in a few tiles (to cep2_ext_tiles.hak), but not complete tilesets.

I suggest downloading at least the "quick 2da fix" one. It just overwrites the top hak with an updated version that fixes a couple issues with the initial release.

On an semi-related note, I will be busy offline until Tuesday, so any other questions/suggestions/concerns I can address then.

I've added the two fixes.  Any ideas about why the good castle and evil castle terrain don't appear in the rural grass?

Seems its not just the rural grass for me.  In the mines/caves, the cave pit is greyed out too.  I imagine other terrain sets are having the same issue.  I'll try redownloading, see what happens.

Continue to have issues, so I'm going to move my post to the CEP forum.

Wow... been waiting a long time for this. Fantastic work AD et.al. A few questions though if I may?

How forward/backward compatible is this?

I guess that is my only question... Although it is multi faceted.

By that I mean, can users with CEP (any lower version) log into a 2.6 world?

Can a 2.(any lower version) world upgrade seamlessly to 2.6?

Can users (players) with 2.6 log into any version of CEP 2.( any lower)?

Cheers, and much respect on this endeavor.

As I won't be able to download this until the end of the month (data allowance forbids), I'm going to ask a couple of questions that it is probable that anyone who has downloaded the new CEP will probably know the answer. Currently I am working with some music files. Now as I like to try to make my stuff CEP compatible I looked in the CEP Top (2.4 until I can download) hak for ambientmusic.2da and it wasn't there. Does this mean that there are no ambient music files in the CEP? If there aren't, isn't this a bit of an oversight?

My other question concerns attribution. Is there a separate list of who created what or is it all in the 2da's?

Thanks

TR

Congrats and good work from Project Q.

Amethyst Dragon there are still flaws but that can be expected with such a big endeavor, I know in your hands it will only get better. If I get more time to play around with it I will start to compile a list for you.

I see you added my pirate skeletons, if you wish you may grab the updated ones I have in Project Q. Good Luck!!! '<img'>

Wow is it just me, or is that self promoting, and condesending as all hell?

It will never be good, but it will get better...

And I could go on and on... that seems to me like a very sad and condesending post.

Sorry I don't have time to navigate through the bioboard BS of figuring out how to quote every single line in a post...

What CEP was? It was a "universal" hak multipule PWs could use, such that players could download one hak set, and log into many different worlds using the same Haks. THAT, was the beauty of CEP. Not to mention everything was player contributed.

When CEP ceased it's development, Project Q filled the void. I can not say picked up where CEP 2.4 left off, since as far as I know it did not, and in that sense dissed every world that used CEP for years, or even a decade+, but started it's own thing.

Now... given the resource limit inherent in NWN, I can not blame Project Q for wanting to start anew. However given the multiple workarounds to the resource limit I personally don't think that is valid.

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT AD, AND DO NOT SPEAK FOR HIM/HER.

I am a PW owner who has inherited a module that has used CEP for the last 8-10(?) years (I am not sure how long it has been around but it has been a while.) And as such a PW owner, I am overjoyed to see an expansion on the availible content for worlds that use CEP, and as such I would encourage Project Q to get on board and contribute to the "Community Expansion Pack" (which in fact is one of the few remaining bioware thread catorgies) and not see it as a threat.

Somehow, ultimately Project Q and CEP, need to find a way to work together. But in the mean time, it is wonderful to see CEP is living, and evolving on.

Wow that is not what I mean't at all.

Not meant to be promotional just showing that  we as teams now get along.

There are still some bugs (flaws) this is not to be condescending, as there are still flaws in our suff as well that have not be fixed and or have not been found. Just offering to pick out some of the bugs so they can be fixed at some juncture, as no one else in the community has come forward to help him out much in this big endeavor he has taken on.

I know he does awesome work so I know he will fix all bug reports and that will continue to make the package even better than it is.

More power to you AD et. al. I am still very curious however as to the answers to my original questions regarding adding CEP 2.6 to an existing CEP world (specifically CEP 2.3 or 2.4) as I mentioned in my original post replying to this topic.

I consider AD a friend.

You sir are purposely digging and twisting my words I have no ill will toward CEP or have I ever posted so. I also made no statement saying that CEP was horrible you said that.

I saw he also included my skeletal Pirates from the CC challenge I have since updated them and if wants to include the updated version I encourage him to do so. This is called helping out where you can since I am currently busy working on tilesets.

P.S. I don't consider AD as a friend, in fact I barely know him/her. I just respect AD, and specifically AD trying to revitalize CEP as a universal HAK multiple PWs can use, and as such multiple players can utilize but not be confined or restricted to any single one.

It should be backwards compatible with 2.4, and anything 2.4 is compatible with

We have no idea if they can upgrade seamlessly at the moment. Congratulations, you are the first world that has asked! You -should- be able to, but there's the possibility of a bug or two that's gone undetected
