Alright, I'm running out of time due to RL stuff, but I think I got the Maggot Golem to a usable state:

Merrick's Dad did the reskin to the moving maggot mass
Shadowwing2029 provided a texture used for little maggots falling out of the main mass - you can see some in the pic - they make their biggest messes during an attack [looks decent]. All I did there was add an alpha channel, try to up the contrast, and then do what I could with emitter settings
From there, I messed around with the eye emitters and added some Bioware vps_bugs emitters (those black dots in the pic buzz all around the thing's head and shoulders),
The model does have stretchiness on the texture, as MD mentioned, and the maggot emitters don't totally match the main body as they're from different sources, but as I said, I think it's usable, and I'm at the limits of my skillset. I'll make a portrait for this and send it in with the Blood Elemental before the end of the month,
I'll omit the other two variants (the sewer water elemental and the shadow thing) as they don't fit the theme as well, haven't garnered requests, and are pretty trivial to reproduce. I'll credit my collaborators in the readme - thank you for your thoughts and help! '>
