How about karst terrain from Tsingy de Bemaraha in Madagascar? The rock is sharp enough to cut you.

I gotta pack it up and send it in. I'm getting nowhere on models this week, that is certain. But feel free to put your own tail on these gorillas and girallons. I'll package them separately for the new vault listings in a few weeks when I get a sec.

Found this in my weekly Earthshot's feed. Seemed very appropriate, perhaps as a loadscreen?

Wild african dogs are beautiful animals. Too bad they're nearly extinct.

<Finally, at ease>

Do you know that Hyena's are neither related to the dog or cat family? They are their own distinct family....

(I have some in my hard drive but I couldn't let them out to play just yet.)

With 45min to spare I have just finished uploading my "Animals of the Savannah" to the CCC <whew>

In it there are 41 animals of eleven different types. (It is a whopper due to all the textures)

I just had to include the Ethiopian Wolf.

I want to take this opportunity to say...

"Thank you to the community for the fantastic support and the CCC for providing the forum to manifest it"

I hope that y'all might really come to enjoy these first of my African beasts (plus some extras), so I put a lot of effort into it.

There is still lots more to be done to each of them, but I'll get to those aspects later.

For now,

I shall quaff my grog and raise a toast to the best darn game ever !

Actually hyenas are related to cats, although they are not cats. They are feliforms, which obviously includes cats, but also hyenas, civets and mongooses.

Anyway, I'm almost done with my soundsets. So far I've completed: elephant, hyena, gorilla, camel, rhinoceros.

I might try doing soundsets for a hippo and monkey as well.

I'm also going to throw in some ambient sounds suitable for a jungle. Although they consist of sounds from non-African jungles, they are sounds that are often used in movies, TV shows, cartoons and video games as jungle sound effects.
