Well I went and had a meeting at Malkizids place...

...and we decided that he should keep his dynamic wings, even though they don't animate well when he walks due to speed differences. He also got a new hair style, borrowed off of Tryndamere from LoL. I also stole a screen of the Shemsu-Heru solar above, and then darkened the armor substantially, making it sulfur and ash coated, which gave me some texture to use on his arm bands, and some future armor remains.

He's also been pumping a little iron since last we saw him.

Which helps him fit in his old battle armor a bit better

Currently, I've removed all shininess on his texture, including on the armor. I'd like to play around with the weapon fx on the model, and I need some transparency for the skins I was going to use.

I also took time to update his texture on the hands and feet. His bracelets have been slid down the forearms to hide the strange model angles underneath.

And here is his sword I've been working on

It combines transparency, self illumination, arturo texture animation, and additive blending. It works as a sheath model around the blade and is driven by TXI. After it is animated, it looks like an unholy flame. With a little correction on the shape of the sheath model, it could be used to make new weapon models which replace metal shininess with additional sheath-type effects. This would allow more realistic weapon effects such as flames, wind visuals, and non-particle glows. In addition, model sheaths could be made to use flexmesh modifiers, which would allow flames to flow with character movement without using particles.

Hey there folks,

I am looking for someone to partner up with making stained glass windows devoted to different deities of the Forgotten Realms. I did not yet have time to get into modelling, so I am hoping someone would be up to making placeable windows that I can texture.

Here are three examples of textures I made so far:

@ Snugglehoof: You could use models from the MOD - "Faerun Stained Glass" by Arpharazon.

Higher poly Wendonai head and hands. I pulled the hands from the LoL old wraith model and modified them to be longer, fatter, and line up better with his cuffs. The head I remodeled using a combination of LoL Galio and Tim Curry as The Lord of Darkness from Legend, keeping the general facial features from the NWN balor and mixing in the image I had originally posted, using its eyes and general horn shape.

@ rjshae /  Snugglehoof:

You can import it with a plugin like "3ds Max MDB ImporterExporter"

or Blender MDB ImportExport Plugin and export with NWMAX or neverblender. Actually it's not too much dificult..........

Could Larloch and Szass Tam be classified as demi-gods?

If Larloch isn't as close to a self proclaimed demigod as you can get, then I don't know what is

There is a Lawful-Good dragon that has his own paladins, but I can't remember his name, which is why I haven't mentoned him before. Maybe you know who I am talking about, and maybe he would be a good subject for this month.

I looked him up, and he is Bahamut, but I also found Tiamat and several other dagon deities:

Quoted from this page: http://en.wikipedia....eons_&_Dragons)

In many campaign settings, the draconic pantheon of gods consists of the leader Io, and his children Aasterinian, Bahamut, Chronepsis, Faluzure, and Tiamat. Other draconic gods may be present in different campaign settings. For example, the Forgotten Realms draconic pantheon also includes Astilabor, Garyx, Hlal, Lendys, and Tamara (among others); these five deities have expanded their influence to become venerated in many other campaign settings as well.

Like Tiamat, Bahamut and Sardior (the gem dragon deity) were tackled by Hardpoints.

None of the lesser dragon deities have been tackled, however.

Found this nice bardiche on deviant art by somebody named "finist-socol". I did my weapon model technique on it, and then modified it so it looks more like it was made on Gehenna, maybe from some kind of green lava crystal. It needed to be vorpal, wicked, and diseased or poisonous. This seems to fit the bill.
