FunkySwerve should have it.

Since he's still active, I don't want to upload it to the new Vault and become the author of the content, as he's the author of the entry on the old Vault.

FP!

Rolo told me it was okay to do that; he would switch the authors over if the original author showed up wanting to take control.  Just list the original author in the appropriate field.

Well, it's not shut down, the DNS has been changed. You can still get to it by modifying your hostsfile and accessing the site directly via their server IP.

And snag what's really important to you before it's gone for good.

Apparently It's not dead, its just been hidden for now...

Great, just when I needed the Linux SimTools 1.69 version. Does anybody happen to have it?

Web Archive guys.  Search doesn't work--nor anything requiring server side processing--but it looks like the files are there and downloadable.  It does require some paging though.  Be warned, it's slow to load.

Edit: Not all files are available.  It's hit and miss I'm afraid.  3 of 5 that I tried at random were available.

I added the DNS to my hosts file and seem to have the same level of access I had before this latest "shutdown."

Did you restart your browser?

<running around...>

I do have a full back up of files current to *last July*.

In fact I have three copies on three different hard drives (miniVault (official), roloVault (my personal copy) and vixenVault (my primary backup)), just in case (Thanks to the generous people who've donated toward the neverwintervault.org.).

In addition Henesua hosts Repository Zero which will eventually be the archive repository of the still wip vault storage system. RepoZ also has a complete backup as of last July.

What that means for now, is if you need something that hasn't been migrated to the new Vault yet, put in a request on one of the two new forums:

http://neverwinterva...n1-files-wanted

http://neverwinterva...n2-files-wanted

I'll use the requests on those forums to dig through the archives and prioritize the migration on my end.

Re uploading someone else's project... Please! We can always adjust things if there's an error, but many hands make a huge task much less daunting.

At the same time, be aware that if the author has publically (or even privately, so long as the admin at the Vault is aware of it) removed or restricted access to his content, his IP, then the Vault *will* honor those wishes.

As KC would say "Here's a towel, don't panic :-)"

Added the DNS info, restarted (Firefox) browser and...nothing.  I get the new no NWN content site.  Upon more poking around the web archive site, vast numbers of pages are not available, so it's mostly useless.

Am I reading correctly that there are only two pages of NWN1 mods on the new NWVault? There were 32+ pages on the old vault!

I have some .bmus but they are not categorised.. If you remember filenames then send me a PM and I will check out my HD '<img'>

Unfortunately, I don't remember the file names, or the entry titles.  I just remembered the author name, and was going to go through and preview each of his music files to find the ones I wanted :-/

i been following this all day hoping that somehow its just a joke or even a late april fools. I dont think ive been this upset in such a long time. so ridiculous IGN decided to close the vault down (even knowing they would say they would, i still thought it was a bad idea).

were obviously still a vibrant community (why i even managed to a gather some friends from facebook who are seriously intrested in playing this game), why would they decide to close it down is beyond me. I still had content on there i never extacted, now its gone. ''

ive checked on the backup archive and i couldnt find my content as an fyi. wherever my castlevania module went, its gone

Edit:

ive found it! my thievery skills did the trick. The Gray Wall3t strikes again!
