Stumbled across this "dusty" little gem while trying to find out more about danglymesh:

NWN .mdl Format Description: http://www.wnwn.net/mdl/

Intro: http://www.wnwn.net/mdl/index.html

NWN mdl Format: http://www.wnwn.net/mdl/model.html

NWN mdl Component Index: http://www.wnwn.net/mdl/index2.html

Much useful info, if a wee-bit-out-of-date (it turns out was written before the community knew what danglymesh was, for example, lol)

Other still-working areas of the "Worlds of Neverwinter" site include:

Pre-CODI-Planescape-Prototype Artwork: http://www.wnwn.net/artwork/

and some interesting "New" Scripts: http://www.wnwn.net/scripting/

(Seems the Home/Forum sections are Bugged/Dead, and the Links are pretty ancient looking.)

I've been using that documentation for some time, but there are quite a few gaps, as the author wasn't sure what some of the parameters do at the time. Is anyone in a position to update it, on another wiki, perhaps?

Honestly, I just stumbled across it in a google search, and have no idea if "Sorcerer" is still active or contactable (sorcerer@wnwn.net)

My first thought was to back up the site, and make it into a downloadable doc, (just in case the site dies) and if possible update it? '<img'>

(And for sure, it sounds like it would be a great addition to the NW-Builder's-Wiki-Section, better yet!)

I have the binary format on my wiki page.  Haven't gotten around to adding the ascii version.  But I was going to use that site as a starting point when I do.  I've had that bookmarked for quite some time now.

That's a great site, Carcerian!  There are a couple of things they touch on (like in the classification and animation section) that I don't recall being available anywhere else.  I think I wrote to the person who owned the domain a few years ago and didn't get a response.  I've caught myself a few times sending a message to people essentially going "Hey, remember that thing you wondered about 7 years ago?  I'm wondering about that, too.  Did you learn anything more about that?"

Amazingly, sometimes people actually respond.

''

Anyway, this is also a good time to plug the fact that you can animate a lot more things than most modders normally think about and that those keys are availabe in GMax/Max from the Key Filters.. button and ticking "Modifiers".  Including scale keys!

Have you tried to contact one of these fellows: Schazzwozzer or Stephen Spann (might actually be the same person). I believe that "Sorceror" is actually one of Stephen's old pseudonyms. Also, that monodrone that is plastered all over the site is an early version of the model CODI released which is credited to "Schazzwozzer and Stephen Spann."
