I was busy adding content to the CEP last night when I got to Vibrant Penumbra's tessen (iron fans) from the February 2012 CCC.  I noticed a couple of things that I thought needed fixing (the chromed outer edges and the lighter colored central panel).  Being mildly obsessed with details, I got sucked into hours of work I didn't intend to. '<img'>

The development of a single-player adventure module detailing the entirety of Baba Yaga's Hut, based on the module by Roger Moore published in Dragon Magazine #83. You wouldn't believe the stuff I've been cranking out for it; from crystalline rooms to WWII tanks - pure eye candy, not to mention all manner of oddities.

I wanted merely a couple of heads that weren't in Este's KotOR conversions last week and wound up half way through doing anything that wasn't alien or wearing an officer's cap, only to be delayed by reskins of the ones I've already done. I decided to force myself to take a break from it an hour ago with the Fargo finale coming on soon.

There I was, just kinda minding my own bidness in chat when *somebody* asked if anyone had made a decent "hot body" vfx (heat waves, licking flame...) - something a little less cheesy than the multiple flame emitters. He needs it for a rather special elf-demon-something woman (who's already pretty cool, custom modeling-wise).


 


Weeeell, I got to thinking about it and Cestus' old attempt at the possession vfx and wings and arturo procedurals and...


...I'm sorta digging into making his hot chick vfx based on customized red dragon wings with a custom elf full-body "aura" (with anims)...


 


*sneak edit* Salvaged an efreeti out of the experiment

Still can't quite do what I want with the overlay, but did get some cool flame effects for the wings...

A ferret.


I haven't even gotten as far as animations yet, still trying to make it look something vaguely similar to a ferret because I like ferrets and I have yet to find one that looks right in any animal package on the vaults.  It's a massive time-sink that has yet to produce anything and has kept me from actually finishing up two other projects I want to upload to the vault.... but it's a ferret! I want a ferret! I NEED a ferret.  Love the ferrets.

He has a squirrel.  Granted, it's a half-mummified, half-rotten squirrel that doesn't do anything...but it's a squirrel. ':?' I think his name is Mr. Wiggles.

I'd like to see a nice ferret also. The only things I was thinking of trying is there's a nice otter model I sent to Dray that if the tail was thinned a bit and it was reskinned it, would be a good match. Take a pick! I keep jumping from modding one thing to the other. I fix some tiles for every tileset, and then it's off to adding more robes for ACP, and then designing more armors as uti, only to be frustrated with original designs for custom modules and going in to manually change every single detail I don't like, from characters to environments. I am obsessive in that everything has to look and work as I want it to or I get mad.


 


As for the most recent one, I was turning Paul's amazing wildwoods overrides into TNO into... well.. overrides for my game, when I noticed my custom grass texture didn't work with it, and had to go and erase it, which led to erasing all CEP trees in a module which didn't match and had broken shadows and pretty much recoloring wolf textures,... cause the goddamn wolves have to fit in with the rest of the scenery damnit!  ,(>  ,<),

"Hmmm maby a few pure light plcs (no vfx, just light), seems like something builders would want..."

I found an emitter somewhere that does the tentacle effect I was looking to do for a Cthuloid. Which is not Cthulu but more me just going nuts with stuff


 


Trying to replicate it for more tentacles and less emitters
