Our very own Goddess Of Nature!
« on: May 23, 2014, 05:14:29 am »

Was browsing the interwebs when I stumbled upon this free .OBJ model. I went all out and cleaned it as it was a mess filled with too many polygons and too many that were also useless and converted it  for the game.

This is exactly what I've been looking for -- a very high quality goddess statue.  She's perfect!  Wish I could give it more than one like.

Glad you all like it. Been thinking of submiting to Pstmarie for Q instead of just releasing it individualy like this.

There is however the issue that shadow casting is not currently possible as it crashes the toolset when I set it to cast shadows in the aurora trimesh settings.

Maybe I'll try putting it through CM3 and see how it fairs afterwards.

could you create a simple mesh around it for casting shadows?

And I would love to get my hands on this. Nice work getting this into NWN.

I don't suppose I could beg of you to release it on it's own?

Alright, alright... I'll release it on it's own with a few variations in size and a mirrored one. It'll be soonish.

Perhaps "Mirror" for both left and right handed versions?

(Looks way better when you want on both sides)

SO! managed to fix the shadow casting on this model as it was crashing the toolset and the game. I did it by breaking it in a few parts as oppose to one whole object as it was originally.

See...

               The semantic confusion may be

mirror1 = a polished surface that forms images by reflection (e.g. silver statues in CEP)

mirror2 = a mathematical reflection in a plane of symmetry
