Go for almost a whole month with nothing... Now I have 2 posts on the same day! The first one has limited appeal (although MD might find a use). It is of Yosemite National Park in HD.

The second is also for tileset makers, especially for those who make the more unusual sets. There are 80+ real and one admittedly doctored images of places in the real world. I have posted links to other web pages containing a couple of the images here but that still leaves loads. Anyway here is the link.

Couple of links to pictures of creatures for you. The first is compositionally very simple but well executed. I'd love to see this pack animal in NwN whatever it is. The second one is a little more complicated. Oh, I think it is eminently doable but it has inspired me to make a broader suggestion for a ccc here. Anyway, here is the link to the (physical) model of the Forest God.

Here is yet another creature link. However, while the creature is great I think it may be beyond the scope of NwN. The reason for the link is simply because I don't recall any hanging webbed victims anywhere for NwN. Whether in trees or elsewhere. I think (but what do I know) that it shouldn't be too hard to take what webbed victims there are, rotate the model(s) and raise them off the ground. Anyone want to give it a go?

Nice...and creepy.  Two things that go great together.  On that thought, I seem to remember from somewhere back in the distant recesses of my memory seeing a nice collection of good sized diaphanous web placeables.  There are some tiny ones in CEP, but what I'm thinking off was rather larger than those.  Anyone remember seeing something like that?

Here's a couple of pages from aplus.com. Well I've heard of mash-ups, I've heard of Owl Bears but I never heard of a Dird before I saw this creepy bunch of critters from planet photoshop! (as if there weren't enough creatures waiting to be built!)

Yes I know I have posted other landscape photo sites, but this is the most colourful yet and there are only a couple of locations mentioned on the other sites. At the risk of misquoting someone... Not only is the world strange, it's even stranger than you can imagine so to help the imaginations of tileset builders I present this colourful site.

So you wait for a couple weeks with nothing then today...

To be honest, while I hope somebody is, I don't really care whether the image I am going to link to here inspires anybody. It is just stunning. Be warned flash is involved. Now stop reading and go drool over this image. As always comments and/or links to insirational stuff is welcome.

OK the pictures are not the most detailed and the text is short but there are several creatures on this web page that are not yet represented in NwN and would (I think) make great additions.

Here's an inspiration for some skyboxes. Also R.I.P. Christopher Lee.

As far as this creature goes - you won't believe your eyes (which is good as it was made in blender). I bet MD's search feels like this at times. I'd love to see this in NwN even if it was only as a statue.

Also another one gone.

Some very interesting creatures there. Although it'd be nice to have a phoenix or a snake-bodied medusa in NWN, the thing I'd most like to see after browsing through that set of images is a group of adventurers getting laughed out of town after ending up on the receiving end of a kicking from a marauding pack of kasa-obake...

Imagine meeting a giant version of this critter along some dark, dusty corridor...

There was more than just Hallucigenia to be found in the Cambrian period that were just plain weird. Most of these creatures have been found in a region known as the Burgess Shale. This is what you get if you google images for them.

"It would have been quiet a sight," said Royal Ontario Museum paleontologist Jean-Bernard Caron.

Eric Walsh isn't doing a very good job.

2 more things.

The first is a real leather cuirass (they actually make unique pieces to order) that I'd love to see in game.

The second is just for Zwerkules. See this thread for comment (after picture of a puppy) which prompted the inclusion of this image in this thread. ''

Anyone interested in creating mechanical creatures should first take a look at this image and then explore the guys gallery (there is a link on the page linked to).
