Something particular to medieval Europe was a vehicle called a pageant wagon. It consisted of a horse-drawn wagon with sides that could be folded out to form a stage. Here's an example:

 

 

In D&D, this could be used by a bardic troupe to travel between towns, putting on shows. I think it could make a nice placeable.

Those swords are all made to break the first time they are used.

OK, I admit the thing at the end of this next link isn't strictly speaking NwN related. The fact that it runs in a modern browser is quite impressive though it does mean you need a graphics card with a bit of grunt (not necessarily a modern one though - runs fine on my HD3870 x 2). So here's the link to WebGL Water. Makes me wonder, could a new version of NwN be built using this technology?

I have literally just come across some impressive panoramic pictures in the sense that you can alter the view by any angle you choose in any direction you choose. As I was (and still am as I compose this) using Opera v26 I suspect you may need the most up to date version of your browser to view these (of course I may be wrong). On this browser I had fist to click on the image, move the cursor until it changed shape to the standard (NSEW) 5 points arrow and then click and hold the left mouse button to start the rotations.

 

The first one is entitled "Christmas Village". I definitely suggest you rotate it by 180 degrees horizontally for a festive view. For a Halloween feel there is "Haunted Harvest" complete with a skeleton walking down the path. Finally there is "Approaching Pandora" which gives a space view that wasn't part of (but is inspired by) the movie "Avatar".

 

As I was writing this I found out (totally by accident) they were made using a tool called "Pano2VR".

Here is a panorama stock image that is a little unusual in that I can see little sign of man (or woman for that matter  '> ) in it. Having a dA account, I have checked what the poster of the image has to say on the matter and AFAICS there would be no problem in turning this into a skybox if they wanted to.

Well there are some worked fields in the foreground and some linear features here and there. You may need to clip to the top half.
