May I Take Your Order?

I tend to skim over The Monstrous Index when I need ideas for some variety with my own players. The have just about every creature, including some lost 1e and 2e, and most have graphics and ecology information within their listings. You may want to take a peek there for ideas.

You could go with accurate depictions of the NPC's.

Red Wizards, Shadovar, Different classes of elves (wood, sun, wild, etc.) There's also the genasi, the Gyth... these have rarely been touched with quality. As of late, driders, duergar and drow have been worked on, but there's few (if any) of the rest.

If looking at orc kids, don't forget Ancarion's orc pack

Pstemarie, at this stage I'm just making a list and then I'll be slowly building all the models that are on the list. I doubt I'll ever get through the whole thing so I don't have a full plan of how to script every individual creature. here's speculating though; if the children did drop loot it would, to be realistic, be a useless item or two and a tiny amount of pocket money and yes, KlatchainCoffee, it should hit your alignment pretty hard to kill a child.

I would love to make a module with this huge list of stuff so maybe I should stop adding to the list so it doesn't get impossibly big... nah.

Nilshai: is a worm with arms? I think I was actually looking for worm monsters at a stage.

It is a flying worm with three arm-tentacle things and three insect-like wings.  '<img'>

I try to make it short and clear and hope i dont sound rude but you know... talking about stuff that you "do" is one thing. Showing and releasing stuff another. So before i count on any of your skills or dedication release just 1 little thing and i change my view. To many have talked and talked and went into oblivion so understand... dont spread hope of something that you can do but no one knows if you realy can.

thanks and now show me something that you modeled on your own (no conversion..) so i know you dont just talk endless about 100 creatures.

Why i tell you, you post now around 6 month or so, i dont remember but long enough to have givin us a little impression of not just wall of text. And blah, no offense but you are not the first one of this kind;)

I must edit, i have done many creatures and on some i worked more than a week hours and hours alone so when i read "100" creatures i get kinda heated knowing what workload that is...':pinched:'

Thank you baba yaga, I'm actually glad you said that. I was just thinking to myself that the nwn moding community was probably sick of me asking for this and planning to do that and never showing any progress of my own. As I've said a couple of times, I don't have anything on my laptop to make mod models with but there have been multiple mentions of small 3D modelling programs suitable for making these mods so if you throw me a download link that works I'll resume work right away, perhaps starting with a dynamic beholder.

links to the software are all over the place. If you haven't bothered to look for them, I think you'd be better off starting with making blueprints for these creatures in the toolset.

Better to start with an achievable goal rather than to start from scratch on an impossibly ambitious project.

It's not that I haven't looked. But every time I try to install NWmax my computer instead attempts to install some other program of unknown function. Before you tell me that that unknown program was NWmax, I did try following the installer end to end and it ended up not actually installing anything. So that's why I asked for links.

Did you install gMax prior to installing NWMax?

If not, that could be the program it wants you to install.  And if you don't have gMax installed, this could be the reason why you are not seeing anything installed when the NWMax installer is finished.

First:
gMax -- lightweight, free 3D modelling program

Second:
NWMax -- A set of MaxScripts that will allow you to import/export models for Neverwinter Nights.

or

NWgMax Plus -- An updated set of the NWMax MaxScripts.

One difference between NWMax and NWgMax Plus, aside from the updates: NWMax uses a self-installer, NWgMax Plus requires you to extract and copy the scripts to the proper location.

gMax has been available for as long as I can remember, at least since the beginning of NWN, so you should have no problem running it on your laptop.

Thank you. I've followed your instructions and am using it now.
Having come from 3DSmax back to NWmax I'm finding it a little frustrating to use and cannot wait to get back to my desktop but I'll figure it out and put up something for you to play with in your module making.

I´m glad you took it professional. And it´s good to split up a module into sections i guess when you have such a big project in the pipeline. I have a similar "problem"... my mind is so full of stuff and i cant work it all out. I have to write down already so many things and it just doesnt stop '<img'>.

So good luck '<img'>
