               Six, are the names of the tiles set up for inserting those tiles as an add on to Q's Rural Interior? It would be nice to have both options in one tile set.

               Right now it's just some textures in my override folder so no. Guess that'd be the nicest implementation though.

               Anyone have any good tips/pointers on making a character portrait from the 3D model?  (yes, I'm struggling to make a good portrait for the zombie knights before submitting.....)

I place the creature in the toolset, facing the light, then in game get right up close for a screenshot. Sometimes I make the PC invisible and hide the GUI, but for portraits that's not too important, because most of the image gets cropped away in Photoshop. After that, I just follow one of the tutorials.

               @ Tiberius:

For my autonomes portrait in the arcane space challenge, I just used a capture of my 3d model, from the, creature properties window in the aurora tollset, then I selected the grey background, inverted the selection copy an paste the autonome figure over a suitable background, and finally I had added the oil painting filter in GIMP.

               "Frilly Victorian" the Terrible has been handed in on time! Woooo!

Many '<3''s to all. :-) I just wish they actually *were* quality work and not just the modeling equivalent of papermaché painted to look like wood on the outside. It's pretty clear that there was a newb at work from the moment you open up the .mdls. But hey, I'm aware of it, determined to improve, and not sick of virtual dressmaking yet, so at least there's hope for the future, I guess. I really wanted to redo them all properly before submitting them, poly-count and all, but as things are I'm acutely worried about time running out before I get everything done that I wanted to get done if I take the time to do that. >_<

Anyway, here's the preview picture for the dress; the male version is included as a footnote and may be worth a giggle if you're not too picky with your sense of humour:

I decided to drop the gloves out after all. They were kind of bleh; not really worth including anywhere. One day, I shall make better gloves. Gloves that use Issig's hands, and all that nifty stuff.

Now that that's done, the remaining few days go to the jagged witch skirt, and hopefully hopefully hopefully (multiple fingers crossed) if real life does not interrupt with a sudden sledgehammer strike, matching jagged witch sleeves. Progress-report on the witchskirt day after tomorrow, presupposing a lack of aforementioned sledgehammering.

@Proleric1
Excellent. ^^ I'll just completely disregard the mounting animation, then. In the grand scheme of things, two seconds of brutal clipping during one rather rare animation are probably not worth losing all the other good stuff.

Great wort with that robe; Any chance to replace the masculine version, for a suitable male clothing?

               @Shemsu-Heru
Thank you. :-)

Not within the time constraints of this CCC, for sure. I'll probably end up making a fancy suit or two at some point, but I rather intend all and any clothes I make to be at least nearly identical for both genders. The way a lot of currently existing clothes morph from one kind of attire to a completely different one sort of irks me; particularly when they use different colour channels, it's usually impossible to make both variants look "just right". And having to gender-restrict armour items because the models for the opposite gender are missing (or mangled) is just sad. Let the gents do their dragonslaying wearing frilly skirts if they want to. Takes a real man to save the world swathed in silk and lace, anyway.

But you (or anybody else who cares to) are super welcome to set up a variant of the dress with a different male version if you like. I am extremely many kinds of not touchy about this stuff. ^^

               And anyway, consider the scenario where the male hero is woken in the middle of the night to deal with the attacking goblins only to find that a thief has stolen all their clothes. They now have the option of fighting (or scaring them away ('^_^')) naked or they can fight wearing the dress the thief "kindly" left for them.

               Would these qualify? Not sure if they are actually gothic or just horrific:

But if they do, I'm hoping to be done to animate them before the challenge is over.

               Hah, had forgotten all about that one. Anyway, a few more images then (and then I'll try to leave the texture be and focus on animating!)
