Okay, version 1.1 is posted with the above fixes. Hopefully I caught everything. Thanks, ShadoOow.

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread with this tileset stuff. I should have started a separate discussion.

I have to agree with rjshae. As accurate as the texture may be, the one he chose makes for a less saturated and cropped environment. I am guessing it would become even more obvious in the large areas rather than in the tunnels themselves. Perhaps experimenting on this would net much better visual results!

A1Alien_zps3f7d4665.jpg

The Shabby Hyena Weirdo has now officially and completely lost all patience for this new BSN site.

I STILL can't get the bloody thing to show images or links and, with a variety of new things I wanted to share, CCC entries I wanted to submit, etc, this frustrating emasculation is now beyond a joke.

I have only limited time per month on someone else's Internet connection to do any online stuff and I've had it with wasting time hitting things with rubbery, ineffective bricks just to try to get a perfectly simple .jpg from my Photobucket thingy to here. All I get is little black boxes, time after time; see above - assuming it hasn't vanished.

Tried endless methods, gone through everything seemingly relevant on the help forums and even attempted certain little known voodoo rituals. All to no avail. And every time I go near its actual "add images" pop-up it crashes the site, every time. (I'm no Internet expert, as I'll be the first to admit, but you surely don't have to be a bloody Time Lord just to figure out how to post images?!)

Therefore, unable to take part in things properly, I've sadly and reluctantly got little alternative but to just vanish from the Community here after all these years. Just thought I'd say goodbye in a rabid, foam-encrusted, not at all happy way. (Thought "my own" thread was the best place to say it rather than clutter anyone else's up). Being half here is just too irritating though.

I'll still be doing my NWN stuff and maybe I'll investigate possibilities on the new Vault, but it's a shame not to be able to participate properly here.

This is PLUSH HYENA of DOOM, last survivor of the commercial towing vehicle Nostromo, signing off...

No PHoD! Don't vanish and take all that brick-shaped fun with you! ':crying:'

Use the IMG tag instead of the add image pop-up.

For example, with the extra spaces removed, [ img ]http://img38.imagefr...p_a0f_ucap1.gif[ /img ]

will yield this: oq7p_a0f_ucap1.gif

Well I can't access the address of the posted image link above.

Tried the [ IMG ] method. Many, many times... Doesn't yield anything but the hated little black boxes.

rjshae:- No, I can't access it either. This is because it is the exact shape of a Spleen... You use Photobucket. Is there anything specific you have to do at the Photobucket end that I haven't done? For example, Photobucket was dribbling on about scrambling image titles or something for safety. Should that be disabled?

(Probably can't access it because my Photobucket thingy is "private" rather than "public", but I did try posting an image with the Photobucket album set to "public" and it didn't apparently make any difference...

Also, saying "Photobucket" that many times in quick succession borders upon the eerily farcical.

PHoD, it is most lilkely an issue with privacy settings. I've run into it a million times because we are now posting images from links, and there are a million privacy hoops to get through with those services. The way I do this now is to put pictures I want to share in my dropbox public folder. If Photobucket does have a public non-scramled simple version for hosting a JPG you probably have to use it to get those pictures to display.

Shabby Hyena Item throws himself to the ground, rolls in the dirt, growls morosely and dutifully goes to try hitting the same damned test images with rubber comedy bricks YET AGAIN.

Every privacy and security setting I could find on Photobucket has now been turned off, shut down, hit with a Walrus and made publicomized.

Still nothing but rubbish black boxes that don't do anything.

Try http://www.servimg.com ?  That's what I use for my image hosting.

Your syntax is correct, so it has to be the path name or the permissions. Does the same BBCode work on any other site?

PHoD my man, never give up before crazed computer expert Mecheon is on the scene.

I fixed it for you: Format was wrong.

D4AlienvsDemoness.jpg

The format you specifically want has it listed as "Albums" and not "User"

AAAAAARRRRRRGGHH!!!

A4AlienvsDemoness.jpg

IT WORKED! IT WORKED!

I achieved the pathetically simplistic action of posting an image! Bwaaaah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

PHoD LIVES!

Gargantuan, Gojira-sized thanks to everyone who suggested new bricks to hit things with! No single suggestion worked but a cunning combination of doing more or less everything everybody suggested all at once appears to have confused something into submission! Your help is really appreciated and you can all consider yourselves in receipt of Official Plush Hyena Awards... which probably just consist of half-eaten wildebeest parts, but it's the thought that counts, right?

NOW - to test with some sort of image that's actually new that I haven't posted already a million years ago...

Colossal King Ghidorah-sized thanks again, guys!

Suddenly, horrifyingly, this thread resurrected itself!

PHoDAlienK2.jpg

Yes, I know, Hindu Goddess vs Acid-blooded Xenomorph, not very likely... but very PHoD.

I'm still doing combat tests for Kali so I thought she might as well test the Shiny New... um... Not Shiny At All New PHoD Alien Derelict Interior Tileset thing.

Sorry it's taken me this long to get round to doing it.

Immense, rabid foam encrusted thanks to rjshae for doing the ceilings on the Beholder Tunnels. I just had to remove emitters and that sort of thing. And then plaster Giger stuff all over it.

Currently I'm just using textures I'd already done for some of the Alien Placeables with a few tweaks and, though I was sceptical that they'd work, they're not too bad. I might mess around with it a bit more, but I'll put it up on the Alien NWVault page some time this week. (Assuming I find no hideous glitches, but I doubt that's likely).

The Space Jockey Placeable fits nicely in the Pit or Pillar Tile Groups once you've hit "erase" to remove the pit or pillar which would otherwise be in the way.

PHoDAlienK1.jpg

Hopefully have some new Alien Creatures done fairly soon too.

Looks awesome '<img'>

Only thing i would add is a bit brighter head (skull) of the standard aliens.

Currently their black skull is so dark that it looks like unfinished (or bugged) textures - it is just way too dark for any of the details to be noticed unless you are insanely zoomed in.

Also those girly demons seem very... revealing xD

I am not sure do i want to kill them or to... interact with them ^^
