HarvestMoonConsortium forums down?

               Went to HarvestMoonConsortium, clicked on the "Enter Forum" button and looks like they're down?  Anyone know if this is permanent?  Would be nice to find another spot for the old CTP archives, if so.

               i didnt know harvest moon was still going. It could be a service issue to perhaps a maintenace, or even the usual too much traffic flow. if it comes back up let me know i always wanted to look into it

               On the front page I get a missing plug-in message which says click here to install. Like that's going to happen (I've read enough about hackers and trojans to not go there!). Trying to go to the forums produces said sql error - apparently a crashed database.

               phew... scared the crapouta me there for a minute until I verified that it was back up and running again.  Hackers exist for the sole purpose of trashing folks life's work it seems.

The older CTP sites were hacked at least 4 times and 2 of those I still truly believe were direct attacks by nwn community members.  IE, the sort of hacking that went on, was not the typical take a site down type of hack, but a deliberate attempt to delete specific content.  Fortunately, on that site, we had daily backups to recover from hack attempts.

I am not sure but I believe winterhawk has that type of setup with Harvest Moon as well.  We no longer get much traffic, so backing up changed material now only takes seconds, or a few minutes at most.

I would love to be able to re-organize the CTP side and most especially the Custom Content and tutorials sections, but it would blow away the links that are posted all over the web so it is not an option at this phase of things.

               I visit the Harvest forums from time to time (re-hosted the CMP forums from CTP there), but my eyes can't get over the abundant tan on brown.  To be fair, I have some trouble with these forums as well, but the white on dark grey is somewhat easier to deal with longer.

I agree, I think there are some style options for the style sheets used, but I am not positive if they are still active.  It is not a website that I control, so I never felt comfortable asking for a different style there....

I need higher contrast myself, and pastel websites drive me insane, but apparently, that is the "wave" of the current and future web system.  That, and html5 removing the ability to even exit out of a webpage, just like the windows 8 interface, designed for a friggin cell phone, but totally wastes the power and usability of a true desktop.  I ALWAYS have multiple programs running, and I arround them around my screen in such a way that I can click a corner or side of whatever page is hidden behind the current one that is on top, so I can quickly switch between apps.  OR I will have them sized so I can get columns of data side by side in two different apps to allow me to copy/paste to my hearts content without having to hit alt-tab to navigate etc...

Edit:  Found it under user prefs, board prefs, the default is set to celtic_gold, the other two choices are the base dark blue on white background.  You end up losing the restyled pages that way, but it IS easier to navigate.
