               I apologize as I have not read through this entire thread yet, but I just wanted to say I personally would love to see more Monsters, skyboxes, placeables, and tilesets added specifically. Of the CEP content we already use, this was the bulk of what we utilized. I just wanted to add my perspective on what I personally, as a builder, would love to see more content of.

               I think I just did... If you aren't planning on adding new monsters (utc), skyboxes, placeables (utp), tilesets... what exactly are you planning on adding?

Yes, but are there specific ones from the new or old Vault you would like to suggest?

So that when the time comes, we can ask the creators for permission to include their work.  Got to get suggestions and direct links to the entries for those suggestions, since I don't have time to sift through the last 3 or so years worth of content that's been released since the last CEP 2.4 update.

Maybe it would be better to encourage folk to use just one list of suggestions for new content?

               Unless there's objections, I'm still hoping to do general fixes to the existing CEP by using CM3, but it'll take a bit more time than I had hoped due to various issues that arise. I will probably try to approach it per hak for now.

I've also made proposal for new pages on the wiki for content overhaul (still pending approval by TAD).

Finally, I'm also hoping to spread the word among the PW communities that people should take part in the process of reviving the CEP and making it better - but I want to be absolutely sure that the idea here is to revive the CEP as a community driven and more democratic process instead of an effort made by a person or a small team. Am I right in this understanding? Or would this be giving people the wrong impression?

Correction : having looked at the other CEP horses, I don't think this is worth doing, after all. The pony I'm using in my module is more handsome than the rest.                One thing I just realised has not coome up in this discussion yet. Could I request that when new things are added that the locations within the 2das are (at least initially) restricted to where currently there are entries that say reserved for CEP otherwise there is the potential to break existing CEP compatibility with existing content. I am saying this as someone with a vested interest as I have tried to make all the stuff that I have published (with one exception) CEP compatible and there is the potential here for the 2da locations that I have used to be overwritten if this is not done.

Sure.  How about we just say on the CEP forum?  Making a post there is slightly easier than editing a wiki page.

Overhaul pages look good.

Yes, the idea is to have the NWN community more involved in reviving the CEP, rather than just being controlled by a single person or small team.  That said, I am already doing work on it, so we won't have a year of debating this in a committee before an update gets started. '<img'>

Of course. '<img'>  I actually just posted a new page on the wiki with the CEP reserved ranges (and BioWare/User reserved ranges already in the CEP 2das).

I'll be posting the information on the other 2da files later, once I have more time to look at them.  I just had time this morning to document those two files and changes planned/ready for them.

Even from reading back three days in this thread, it is a little unclear to me what exact changes you're proposing making en masse with CM3. 

I just wanted to go on record as generally objecting very strongly to any decompilation and mass-manipulation of existing CEP content without some really clear reason what, exactly, is going to be achieved by it and what assurances would be provided that errors or needless degradation isn't going to occur as a result of it.

Let me make my point a slightly different way.  I just used NWHak and extracted all the MDLs from CTP Babylon into the "In" folder of CleanModels 3.51 and ran it with what I think are the most minimum settings.  These are the settings I use, just to be clear. 

With those settings, which should touch the models in the least possible way, CM3 made 215,000 "fixes".  This is even with it skipping all the binary models.

Now, I ask you, did I just single-handedly revolutionalize CTP Babylon by doing this?
