I've managed to lose a day on the Vault :-/ And the last 26 votes.
An ordinary (looking) little update to Drupal corrupted the db, requiring me to roll it back to the last daily backup.

If you are not sure whether your vote was counted, please vote again. Don't worry about duplicate votes, as it's one per user/IP address.

               If one was to go by the old meanings of words then Technomancy is any form of divination (which is what the *mancy* part of the word means) that utilises technology. However since the '90's certain authors have chosen to put a different meaning to the word as a whole (see the wikipedia page for Technomany).

               In my opinion, magic, and technology or science; Are opposite terms, and hardly could coexist in The same Universe.

For example In The Game "Arcanum of steamworks and magick obscura" you have magic, and steam technology but they are opposite powers, they can't work together and usually if both are conbined it would cause dangerous consecuences. So Arcanum NPCs have to chose the way of the magic or the way of technology....

               Without having read that wiki article, I can think of 2 approaches to picture technomancy. One would be set in a world where magic is just  consequence of the underlying physics of that world, sort of like chemistry is in our world. Technomancy would then be simply applied science.

The other approach would be that it isn't really magic at all, but advanced technology. The technology we have today would appear to be magic to people from only a couple centuries ago.
