Any links to artwork that show the sort of sky (even just in the background) you had in mind would help!

From the image above, I gather there's a white moon and a red moon - plus a black moon which would likely be pretty much invisible other than the fact that it would blot out the stars behind it.
I could stick all three in syzygy, I suppose, Dark Crystal fashion, but that would look a bit strange and such a celestial arrangement wouldn't be likely to last more than a couple of hours. Not perhaps the best thing to paste all over a permanent skybox.
Specific constellations could be put in, though without the astrological symbols and names they'd look a lot less obvious.

All of the constellations in krynn represent the symbols of the gods. Actually all of the astral bodys, for example some gods as Reorx are represented by a planet, as well the three moons represent the gods of magic; Nuitari (black moon) for evil magic, Solinari (white moon) good magic, and Lunitari (red moon) neutral magic.
In rare ocasions when gods descent into earth their constelations can disapear from the sky, that was the case of Paladine an Thakisis constelations during the war of the lance.

Some kender heads, for halflings. I'm sorry TR, but kenders are not enough interesting for me in order to made something more than heads.

Shemsu you are forgiven as you seem to specialise in heads. My problem is I don't know how to use 'em. Whenever I try, all the options seem to be greyed out in the toolset.

One other thing with kender vs halflings. My impression is that kender are skinnier/slighter than halflings. They're more wiry.

Kender are just halflings with a drug problem.

And pointy ears. In DnD halflings aren't supposed to have pointy ears (never mind the Peter Jackson films), whereas kender do.

               @Tarot Redhand:

In the original D&D and the 2nd E, I think that halflings were more or less like Tolkien hobbits, in other words a little fatty rounded guys. However since 3th edition they have being shown more slender and thin. So, in my opinion, basically Kenders and 3E halflings, only differ in their appearence, by the pointy ears, and maybe in the hairy feet, I don't know..

PS - Do you have problems to change the head of a dynamic NPC, in the auroa tolset?

I remember so many fine screens back then, when the DLA-page was still up. There were Solace models to be seen (walkways, treehouses, ...). Is there still a former DLA-member around - or someone, who knows an ex-member? I wonder, if there is a way to get a hand on those creations (I mean, it's been a while since that project was layed to rest). Wouldn't it be great to have them for this CCC, so they don't get totally lost?

I am a former member of DLA, and I do have copies of Solace, but I am not legally allowed to release them.  Wish I could, believe me I do.  I was explicitly told to NEVER release them unless OTHER members also agreed.  At one point in time, there was discussion between a few other DLA members and me that they might finish this set and release it.  But those members are long gone now, at least no one will admit to being one of the old nicks that we all knew them by if they exist around here anymore.':crying:'

Well, thanks for the info Bannor! Nice to see (for me) that there's still a DLA member around!
And I'm really looking forward to the upcoming creations! Great lances, the castle, the Kender heads, ...':wizard:'

Neeshka has been having a little Disir trouble...

'Posted

3E Disir Characteristics:- as applied by PHoD...

Disgusting Mammalian/Arthropod Appearance  -  check
Loathsome Dirty Protruding Tusks                     -  check
Unhygienic Filthy Blade Claws                           -  check
Nauseating Chitinous Armour Plates                 -  check
Sickeningly Vile Rubbery Tegument                  -  check
Appallingly Chundersome Whip-like Tongue     -  check
Putrescently Nasty Skin Conditions                   -  check
Execrably Horrid Bulbous Comedy Eyes           -  er... not as such...

The one deliberate divergence I made from the 3E painting - as distinct from my rubbish abilities just getting stuff wrong - was the eyes. Be fair, those bulging eyes are a bit comedic in the 3E Manual artwork on the inspiration thread. And they looked REALLY silly in-game on the model.
So I arbitrarily changed the look. I retained the freakish bulbous eyes, since I'd already nailed them on, but I altered the texture so they're strange, insectly-weird swirls of nebulous colour now, instead of having blatant, socking great pupils staring rancidly about like a fetid pervert ogling a girls' topless volleyball match.
I think they look much more murky and sinister now.

'Posted

They still need some fine-tuning and I have yet to add the Queen and Tyin variants, but since Neeshka was kicking the stuffing out of some for combat and shadow testing, I thought I'd post these examples just to assure you I am actually doing them...
(I did try putting emitters on them for dripping, toxic slime, but it just didn't work. The only halfway decent result made them laggy as hell in-game if there were more than three of them in a group and it still didn't really look right. So I gave up on that idea.)

However, I'm fixating upon working on AvD now to the almost total exclusion of everything else, including eating and sleeping and irrelevant nonsense like that. It's therefore unlikely I'll be doing any other Creatures for this month.
I've wanted to do AvD for about eight years, essentially ever since I got NWN, figured out what the Toolset was and instantly attempted to put my Demoness Tales comics on the screen.
I've made several abortive attempts over the years to make the piles of CC for AvD and failed. Miserably. A lot.
Now I've finally cracked it and the results are exciting me like nothing else I've done in NWN before; even all the endless Doctor Who stuff I did wasn't anything like as good, as complex, as ambitious or as detailed as this. Naturally, this rabid enthusiasm is hard to contain.
I will do the Tyin and Disir Queen though. Promise. I'll try to get a Skybox done too. Maybe toward the end of the month I might do something else if I need a break from AvD.

(DAMN shame about Solace - Very sad that so much work went into something that so many of us would love to have fun with and it just ends up malingering in a dusty box somewhere because of Baboon-shaped Spleen lawyers to whom passion, art and enthusiasm are entirely unknown and unknowable concepts.
Still, at least now we know. Thanks for enlightening us, Bannor.)

I just finished to port and finalize some models of PDubulous' NWN2-Dragonlance Pack #1 for the Dragonlance server project I'm involved in.

Hello Jenna,
the creations mentioned in the download link are NWN2 models (*.mdb) - most of them in a kind of uncomplete stage. I picked out some of them and converted / tweaked / finalized them, so they are usable as  NWN1 placeables, which I will send out for the CCC. Some of those models have a very high poly count and may hit the limits of NWN1 (I had crashes with some of the big models). But those, I ported, work nicely.
The teaser is a mixture = not only made of those NWN2-models.
If you have any questions: Just ask.

In addition to the placeables, I'll try to work out a Verminaard / Dragonhighlord helmet, though, I'm not sure, If I manage to do that...

And thanks, CaveGnome. '<img'>
